LPS students from Mrs. Meyer and Mrs. Hobson’s class throw their arms in the air with excitement after the lesson by Chad Miller from Gravity Group.

paula-72-adIt was an exciting ride for Loveland Primary School (LPS) students Monday, Feb. 2, when Chad Miller from Gravity Group spent the day sharing a lesson on how roller coasters operate.

“We wanted to finish up our science unit on force, motion, and gravity by showing our students how these concepts relate to the real world,” said Jamie Meyer, LPS second-grade teacher. “Mr. Miller was able to make the concepts come to life in the most exciting way for our students – we were all grateful for his visit!”

Several LPS classes gathered to hear the presentation. Miller – a roller coaster designer by profession – brought models of his work to share with the students.

“The students were thrilled to learn how roller coasters work and to see some of the roller coasters designed by Mr. Miller in action,” said Meyer. “It was a wonderful day of learning.”
