Award Honors Tri-State High School Students’ All-Around Achievements

Straight-A-Nomimations-Press-Release--2nd-roundThe Anthony Muñoz Foundation’s deadline for Straight “A” Scholarship nominations is Friday, February 27th. There is only two weeks left to recognize students who excel in multiple areas of their lives.

The foundation is giving away $42,000 in scholarships to students who exhibit the redefined qualities of Straight “A’s.” These include:

 

  • Academic excellence
  • Athletic achievement
  • A strong Ambition
  • A winning Attitude
  • An Active role in the community
  • The ability to overcome Adversity

The Nomination form for the Straight “A” Scholarship is available online at www.munozfoundation.org. Anyone from the community may nominate a deserving student. The deadline to nominate is February 27. Any freshman, sophomore, junior, and senior high school students are eligible for recognition, but only seniors can receive the scholarship.

For this scholarship opportunity we acknowledge what these students do on the athletic field, but more importantly what they are doing in the classroom and community, all while overcoming some type of adversity,” says Anthony Muñoz. “I am grateful to the community for helping us reach these incredible students and allowing us the opportunity to recognize their overall achievements.”

All Straight “A” Scholarship nominees will receive a letter of achievement along with name recognition on the Anthony Muñoz Foundation website. Eighteen senior finalists will be honored at Straight “A” Luncheon. One male and one female finalist will receive a $5,000 grant toward their college education. The remaining finalists will each receive a $2,000 grant. For any questions please email [email protected].
