conners-heroes-for-hopeHello,

My name is Holly Hudson. My 2 year old son was diagnosed with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy in February. I have teamed up with an organization that has been our support since his diagnosis to do an event at Nisbet Park. The organization is Parent Project Muscular Dystrophy (PPMD). They fund the majority of research for Duchenne.

The event will be taking place on Saturday, October 8 at 2 PM. It is a superhero themed .1K race…basically a block party. The name is Conner’s “Heroes for Hope” .1K to End Duchenne. We will be raising awareness of Duchenne and money for PPMD. I have spoken with the general managers of Paxton’s, Tano’s, and The Works. All are interested in participating and donating 10% proceeds during a 2-4 hour time period on the event day. We are planning on having a silent auction and raffle also.

This is my first of, hopefully, many events. This is my way of fighting for my son and for a cure to this devastating disease.

Here is the event website: http://www.parentprojectmd.org/connersheroes

Sincerely,

Holly Hudson
