Loveland, Ohio – In a ceremony on November 9, Loveland High School Athletic Director, Julie Renner introduced athletes to sign letters of intent to further their athletic and academic careers at the college level.

 

jarvis-verticalKim Bailey is the daughter of Bob and Kathy Bailey. She has committed to play Volleyball at Georgetown College in Georgetown, Kentucky, and has a GPA of a 3.4. She has played volleyball for Loveland HS all 4 years and is a 3-year varsity starter. Her sophomore year she was awarded impact player and her junior year award offensive player of the year. She has been 2nd team All ECC her junior and senior seasons, and was also voted to play in the SW Ohio senior all-star showcase game. Bailey has been a member of the Tri-State Elite Volleyball Club for the past 2 years.

Rachel Blumberg is the daughter of Beth and Dave Blumberg and has committed to play Volleyball at Thomas More College. Her Current GPA is a 4.1. Blumberg earned ECC Honorable Mention in 2015. This year she was Second Team All ECC and was Captain of the Loveland HS volleyball team both her Junior and Senior Year. She also helped lead the Tigers to a Sectional and District Title for the 2016 volleyball season and was chosen to the All City Senior show case team. She is a member of the JO volleyball club at Arsenal. She coaches a CYO volleyball team at Good Shepard. She is a member of the LHS National Honor Society and also a member of the LHS Jazz band, playing the clarinet and saxophone since fifth grade. She has started to learn Guitar.

Taylor Fox is the daughter of Robin and Don Fox and has committed to play Division 1 Lacrosse at Gardner Webb University. Her GPA for the first quarter was a 4.0. She earned second team All ECC and the ECC defensive player of the year her sophomore year. In her Junior year, she was first team All ECC, first team all district, and the ECC defensive player of the year. She also works with special needs kids at the Cincinnati Nature Center.

Jess Morey is the daughter Mary Jo and her dad, Wade, and has committed to play Lacrosse at McKendree University. She is planning to major in Finance. Her GPA is a 4.1 She is a 4-year varsity starter for the Loveland Womens Lacrosse team. She plays club Lacrosse for the Cincy Royals and played on the Brine All-American team. She was also a 4-year varsity Cross Country runner at Loveland High School. She is a 2-year member of the Loveland Yearbook Staff, a Link Crew leader and a member of the LHS National Honor Society.

Katie McElveen is the daughter of Ed and Tracy McElveen. She is committing to play Lacrosse at The Ohio State University. She has a 4.2 GPA. She is Captain of the Loveland Womens lacrosse team and earned First Team All-ECC, All-ECC Player of the Year, All-Region, All-State, All-American Academic and All-American honors during her Junior season. She is a Brine All-American, Under Armour All-American, Women’s National Team-Ohio player, Wendy’s High School Heisman State Finalist and was selected the 2016 Cincinnati Enquirer Lacrosse Player of the Year.  She has also earned varsity letters in Golf and Tennis. She is a member of the National Honor Society, Student Council, and a Senior Service Leader. She received the Simon Lazarus Humanitarian Award and Youth Philanthropist of the Year Award for her work with the Ronald McDonald House and Windows of Hope.

Luke Waddell is the son of Eric and Lisa Waddell. He is committed to the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta to play baseball. His GPA is 4.078. He will be a 4-year starter for the Tigers Baseball Team. He was a team captain his Junior year. He has made first team all-ECC his Freshmen, Sophomore and Junior years. He was awarded Most Valuable Offensive Player in 2014, 2015, and 2016. He also won the Tigerman Award in 2015 and 2016. He has played for the Midland Redskins the past two summers and plans to play for them again this summer. In addition to playing baseball, Waddell played varsity football for four years. He was a member of the 2013 Division II State Championship team. He is a Senior Service Leader, LINK crew leader, and member of National Honor Society.
