Wallaby Encounter – 11:30am – 1:30pm
Join us in a dynamic presentation with one of Australia’s sweetest animals, the wallaby. We will have one adult and one baby wallaby for you to touch and learn about. We will discuss why wallabies carry their babies in pouches, the difference between a wallaby and a kangaroo, wallaby diet & habitat, and so much more.
This is an intimate encounter that you and your family will never forget.

Hike & Scavenger Hunt (three different times)
9:30am & 11:00am & 2:00pm
This hike is sure to please whether you seek reptiles, amphibians, birds, or bugs. Bring binoculars and your enthusiasm as we hike over a pond, though woods, and by an early succession meadow.

Paint your own T-Shirt – 9:30 am – 2:30pm
Use natural objects such as leaves, twigs, flowers, and feathers to create a unique design on a plain t-shirt or towel. Participants supply light colored shirt. Paint is non-toxic and permanent after drying.

Marshmallow Roast – 11am – 3pm
Please sit by our crackling campfire and enjoy some marshmallows, whether you like them lightly toasted or blackened. Regular and vegan marshmallows provided.

Pond Exploration – noon – 3pm
Come discover what life lurks beneath the surface of a pond. See turtles, frogs, and salamanders, as well as critters that are too small to be seen with the naked eye.

‘Bugs and Bird’ Story Time – 10:00 am
Bring your toddler or preschooler to hear books and learn about butterflies, moths, birds and ladybugs. Stay and make a craft to take home.

‘Tales from the Outback’ Story Time – 1:30 pm
Bring your toddler or preschooler to hear books and learn about Australia’s native animals such as the wallaby, kangaroo, platypus, and koala. Stay and make a craft to take home.

Touch Station & Native Animal Encounter – 9am – 3pm
Students and alumni of CMH School will have a variety of native Ohio species to touch, hold, and learn about. Tadpoles, toads, frogs, various insects and reptiles will be just some of the creatures that you can interact with and learn about.

E-waste recycling program with Planet Green Recycling – all day.
This recycling initiative will be ongoing throughout the year and is an easy way to raise funds through “reuse and recycle.” Program details to follow, but please start saving ink jet cartridges, old cell phones and small electronics/gadgets like cameras, GPS devices, calculators, game consoles, iPods, etc.
