Loveland, Oh. – One of our Loveland families lost their home and possessions in a fire right before the last day of school.  “The support from our Loveland community has been amazing,” said Loveland teacher, Amy Reiss. They have received many donations of clothing, home items, and cash from parents, teachers, and businesses.

The apartment was home to a mother, father, and two young children.

The children attended Loveland Primary school and Loveland Early Childhood Center this past year. The loveland-sweetsfamily is having to purchase everything from toiletries, to clothes, to food, to furniture, and although nothing can replace what they lost, we are working as a community to help them get back on their feet.

Help is still needed

Many of you asked how you could do more to help. The family is now in a new home and are getting settled in. Reiss has met with them and made a list of items still needed. She said, “If you come across anything this summer you would like to donate, you may drop it off at the Loveland Primary School office and I will see that it is delivered to the family.”

The address is 550 Loveland-Madeira Rd. Because of Summer hours, you are encouraged to call the school to be sure there will be someone there to greet you. The number is (513) 683-3101. You can also email Loveland Magazine to arrange pick-up and delivery to the school.

The family has two boys ages, 8 and 6, and they will be entering 3rd and 1st grade. Reiss said, “We have received enough clothing for the boys, thank you so much.”
