A new independent senior housing project has been built on South Third Street in Loveland, The Trails at East Loveland, and is in the process of settling their new occupants. Clermont Senior Services is collaborating with the project’s developer, PIRHL, to employ an Activity Assistant/Service Coordinator to work at the location to implement social and education events for the senior residents.
The mission of Clermont Senior Services is to improve the quality of life for older adults by providing a broad range of home and community based services, enabling them to remain as active and independent as possible.
Activity Assistant – Part Time
Clermont Senior Services has an exciting opportunity for an Activity Assistant for a location in Loveland with the potential for additional on-call hours at other center locations.
Responsibilities would include but are not limited to:
- Planning and implementing activity programs to promote socialization, recreation and education.
- Ensuring safe and enjoyable programs by explaining techniques and demonstrating activities for participants if needed
- Participating in activity planning process, making suggestions for new programs, updating activity calendars, and distributing schedules to residents.
- Encouraging resident participation and involvement in activities and providing alternative activities and follow-up for residents not able to attend programs
We are seeking applicants with:
- High school diploma or GED
- Prior related experience working with seniors is a plus
- Solid work history with excellent attendance and punctuality
- A positive attitude, energy & passion for working with the elderly
