Neil F. Tunison, the Warren County Engineer has announced that effective Monday, May 18, the intersection of Foster-Maineville Road and Butterworth Road in Hamilton Township will be closed for ten (10) weeks.

The closure will include the full intersection which is located between US22/SR3 and SR48. The safety improvements at the intersection are anticipated to be complete on July 24, weather permitting.

According to Tunison, “Currently, the intersection of Foster-Maineville Road and Butterworth Road is below standards in terms of sight distance and safety.”

The improvements being constructed include the adding of a left turn lane on Foster-Maineville Road for westbound traffic turning south onto Butterworth Road as well as clearing to increase sight distance at the intersection.

The detour will utilize Old 3C Highway, US22/SR3 and SR48.
