Osgood and Slager place in the top five percent nationally

Loveland, Ohio – Loveland High School (LHS) has announced that two seniors have been awarded the title of Commended Students by the National Merit Scholarship Program: Morlan Osgood and Amanda Slager.

“The designation of Commended Students places Morlan and Amanda in the top five percent of more than 1.5 million students who entered the 2016 competition,” said LHS Principal Peggy Johnson. “We congratulate these students for this outstanding academic achievement, and salute the team of parents and teachers who helped them to reach this milestone in their high school career.”

Earlier in September, the National Merit Scholarship Program named two LHS students as semifinalists; Hannah Matuszak and Jonathan Reese earned the title and the ability to compete for some 7,400 National Merit Scholarships worth about $32 million that will be offered next spring.
