Loveland, Ohio – For the past 10 years they have called Loveland High School (LHS) home while spreading their volunteer mission throughout the Loveland community and beyond. This year has been a busy one for Tigers in Service – a volunteer club that continues to thrive.

“We have worked at Matthew 25, volunteered at various events in the Loveland community, and we have spent a lot of time at the Loveland Care Center with residents there,” said Rachel Bierkan, LHS orchestra director, and Tigers in Service sponsor. “We will also provide dinner and childcare for the Bethany House homeless shelter.

“The students learn to give back to their community. They develop a sensibility about the bigger world and are understanding that they have the ability to make a positive impact in that world.”

Tigers in Service is open to students in grades 9-12. This year, 60 students have volunteered with the club.
