Anderson-TownshipIMG_8612From February 29th to March 16th, The Goddard School preschoolers throughout Cincinnati partnered with Adopt A Book, a Loveland based nonprofit organization dedicated to providing at-risk kids with books. The Goddard School provides an enriched learning environment. However, not all children have the same access to books. To help children learn about the importance of reading and the importance of giving to those in need, the school is taking a step into helping build literacy in their local community. The Goddard School faculty, preschoolers and Adopt A Book reps are thrilled to announce that they have collected 7,061 books.

The Goddard School at 782 Loveland Miamiville Road participated in the book drive.

About Adopt A Book

We are 13 year-old twins, Hannah and Alexander, who were inspired to start Adopt a Book in November 2011 after we heard about kids in the Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky area who didn’t own books. To date, we have donated over 98,000 books to over 93 organizations, schools and program serving children in need!

We love books and love to read a lot! Many of the kids that receive our books have never been to a library, don’t have access to a library or have ever owned a book of their own.

We collect new and gently used children’s books and then deliver them to kids in need of books. Visit our list of Recipients that receive our books.

If you are interested in arranging a book drive or donating to us, please email us at [email protected]. You can also drop off your book donations to any local Mattress Firm store in Cincinnati, Dayton and Northern Kentucky.
