Loveland, Ohio – Loveland head basketball coach Tim Partin will be honored on Saturday night when McNicholas comes to the Tiger gym. This will be Partin’s second to last regular season home game. He is retiring this school year from both teaching and coaching.
Following the game there will be a reception at the High School for Partin and all of the community is invited to attend.
Game time is 7:30 PM. The JV game is at 6 PM.

Loveland, Oh. – An Evolution in Education – that was the theme for the presentation the Loveland City School District – under the leadership of Superintendent Chad Hilliker – presented at the 2015 State of the Schools address Wednesday, Jan. 14, in the Loveland Middle School auditorium. Hilliker’s evolution includes the development of a new program called Project Lead the Way which expands opportunities for exposure to engineering beginning at seventh grade, and the establishment of a technology program called Tiger One-to-World that enables students to connect with the world through individual access to Chromebooks on a three-year lease-to-own program at Loveland High School.
“A key feature in my State of the Schools address was to really examine what the district is doing to individualize education for our students,” said Hilliker. “As educators, we are tasked with enhancing our traditional classrooms and transforming them into learning centers where students are becoming the best problem solvers they can be.”
Hilliker said the district’s ability to explore both Project Lead the Way and Tiger One-to-World is a direct result of the operating levy that passed in May of 2014. He maintained that the district continues to operate in a fiscally conservative manner.
“The support of the larger Tiger Family is really helping to drive the direction we are going as a district,” said Hilliker. “We are fortunate to operate in a community that believes in our mission – to prepare students for tomorrow, today.”
In addition to detailing the new engineering initiative and technology access, Hilliker discussed the district’s new partnership with the University of Cincinnati to conduct a demographic study; this study will project the district’s future student enrollment and assist senior administrators and the Board in making facilities decisions to best serve a growing student body.
“I’m charged with ensuring our district is current – and that we provide a world-class education for our students in Loveland,” said Hilliker. “And with the support of the community it is a job that is fulfilling. I’m excited for what lies ahead for Loveland, and I’m even more excited about the future of each and every student we have here at Loveland.”
