Morrow, Ohio — Claudia Rudolf Barrett’s ballet tech® of ohio (bto) will present The Nutcracker on Saturday, November 21, with performances at 2:30 PM and 7:00 PM. The shows, which are open to the public and present a wonderful ballet experience for the entire family, will take place at Little Miami High School, 3001 East US 22, Morrow, Ohio 45152.
This Nutcracker, set to Tchaikovsky’s wonderful and timeless music, features guest artists of the Cincinnati Ballet Company (CBC) including Cervilio Amador, principal dancer, Romel Frometa and Sergei Pakahrev, formerly of the CBC who will all be performing with the talented, award-winning dancers of bto.
An enchanting holiday story that speaks to the child in all of us, this Nutcracker is a slightly abbreviated, child friendly version that brings to life the magical characters that every young dancer enjoys performing and of which audiences never seem to tire! David and Karen Hunter of Milford, Ohio return to perform the roles of the Christmas party hosts, Mayor and Mrs. Silberhaus.
Clara, Fritz, their magical Uncle Herr Drosselmeyer, the growing Christmas tree, the battle between the Nutcracker, Mouse King, soldiers and mice, the Snow Queen and King in the Land of Snow, Peppermint Candies, Mother Ginger and her Ginger Kids, the Sugar Plum Fairy and her Cavalier never fail to delight young and old alike – a holiday show not to be missed!
