Loveland High School Juniors Braxton Smith (First Place) and Mitchell Saatkamp (Third Place) for placing in the annual Blue Ash Montgomery Rotary Club 4-Way Speech Contest. Smith and Saatkamp competed against students from Moeller, Ursuline, Shilling, and Sycamore high schools.
Each student was required to present an original speech applying Rotary’s famous 4-Way Test, a non-partisan and non-sectarian ethical guide that Rotarians use for their personal and professional relationships. The test has been translated into more than 100 languages and is often recited at club meetings.
“Our club looks forward to this event each year and we highly value the work and effort the students put into their speeches,” said Tom Rotz, Rotary Club president.
First Place winner Braxton Smith will advance to compete in Rotary’s regional contest to be held on Sunday, April 10, in Dayton.
