Clermont SWCD will pay half of the registration fee for one student
The Clermont Soil and Water Conservation District (SWCD) is looking for a high school student with a string interest in forestry to send to Ohio Forestry and Wildlife Conservation Camp from June 7-12, 2015 at Camp Muskingum in Carroll County. This week-long camp concentrates on forest ecology including; silviculture, tree identification, and forestry products. It is primarily an academic program, but there are excellent facilities for swimming, softball, and other recreational activities. Cabins are available, and all food is provided.

Or what kinds of relationships organisms have with the forest?[/quote_box_left] Let your students know about the Ohio Forestry and Wildlife Conservation Camp taking place June 7th – 12th in Carroll County. This one week summer resident camp for high school students takes place at FFA Camp Muskingum, which is situated on Leesville Lake.
The cost of the camp is $375.00 and is open to any student who has completed 8th through seniors graduating in 2015. Clermont SWCD will pay half of the registration fee for one student. Other possible sponsorships may be available through such conservation organizations as Ducks Unlimited, National Wild Turkey Federation, Pheasants Forever, local Rod and Gun Clubs or Garden Clubs in your area, FFA or 4-H Clubs, conservation or science clubs at your high school or local businesses in the wood industry. If these possibilities have been exhausted and you still need help finding a sponsor, please call OFA at 1-888-388-TREES. Remember to let your sponsors know that the Ohio Forestry Foundation is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization. Their donation is deductible as a charitable contribution.
Clermont County students interested in the Clermont SWCD scholarship should fill out the application form and submit it to [email protected] by Tuesday, May 26.
