Whistle Stop Clay Works (WSCW) is pleased to celebrate the upcoming holidays with local businesses hosting events throughout Loveland. The city wide event is happening on December 17 beginning around 4 PM with local businesses offering treats for children and special shopping opportunities.
The studio, located in historic downtown Loveland, will be spreading holiday cheer by giving away over 600 unglazed Loveland ornaments that people can take home to decorate using paint, markers, glitter or other decorative techniques. “It is a way to give back to the community and to help support the city of Loveland,” states Kay Bolin, co-owner of Whistle Stop Studio.
In addition, the studio has partnered with N.E.S.T, a local charity assisting Loveland youth. They will be offering hand painted Loveland ornament for ten dollars, with 100% of the proceeds benefitting that organization. Also there will be tables set up with pottery donated by various artists with the entire purchase price benefiting N.E.S.T. “After speaking with Evangeline DeVol, organizer of N.E.S.T. and learning more about the organization, I knew this was a cause we needed to support. We believe strongly in supporting youth and feel that through this partnership we can have a positive impact in the lives of others. So far we’ve raised just over $800 and I expect that total to increase after this December event,” said Tim O’Grady.
The holiday ornament celebration is Saturday, December 17th from 4 to 7 PM at 119 Harrison Avenue in Loveland, Ohio. The studio will also have gift certificates available, which make great holiday gifts. For more information call (513) 683-2529 or visit www.whistlestopclayworks.com.
