Dear Loveland Magazine Readers,
The Amazing Charity Race returned to Loveland this past Saturday with great energy and enthusiasm. Although it rained, the poor weather didn’t dampen the spirits of the hundreds of contestants who ran, biked and competed in the twenty different events of sportsmanship and fun.
As representatives of Loveland City Council, we had the distinct pleasure of awarding medals to these valiant “warriors” – from the very first ones to cross the finish line to the final successful team. City Manager Dave Kennedy was also on hand along with many of our dedicated city staff members to ensure that the event, which ended ceremoniously in Loveland’s Nisbet Park , went off without a hitch.
The return of the Amazing Charity Race is a testimony to the positivity and hard work of a respectful and communicative City Council and Administration who are committed to working with the Race Board, volunteers and neighboring communities of Milford and Miami Township. We sincerely thank the Race Board for graciously welcoming Loveland back as a key participant in this signature charity event.
It’s amazing what can happen when people put their heads and hearts together to have fun, promote our local communities and raise money for worthwhile charities!
Sincerely,
Mayor Linda Cox Councilwoman Angie Settell
Vice Mayor Mark Fitzgerald Councilwoman Pam Gross
