The newly revised Great Oaks Fire and Emergency Medical Rescue Academy is now accepting students.
This 667 hour program provides students with the following Ohio certifications and national industry credentials for employment as a Firefighter/EMT upon completion of the 17-week training program:
- State of Ohio Firefighter II and Emergency Medical Technician National Registry
- Emergency Medical Technician National Board on Fire Service Professional Qualifications (Pro Board) Credentials Fire Fighter I and II
- Hazardous Materials Operations and Technician
- Pumper Operator
- Rescue Technician Rope,
- Vehicle/Machinery Rescue
- Confined Space Rescue
In addition to the state certifications and national industry credentials received, students are eligible for college credits through Ohio’s Transfer to Degree program.
The first class is scheduled to begin June 1, 2015.
