The Hamilton County Emergency Management and Homeland Security Agency (EMHSA) will conduct tests of two emergency notification tools today, September 4, 2019.
Hamilton County EMHSA, in coordination with the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) will conduct the first county-wide test of the Wireless Emergency Alert (WEA) system today, at 9 a.m. EDT. A test message reading: āTHIS IS A TEST of the Hamilton County Wireless Emergency Alert System. No action required.ā will be sent to cell phones in Hamilton County to assess the countyās readiness to alert the public when an emergency is in progress.
In addition to the Countywide WEA Test, EMHSA will also be conducting the regular monthly test of the Outdoor Warning Siren System at 12:00 p.m.
