This is out of control – it is impacting us all whether you realize it or not and information is power.
Miami Township, Ohio – “I want to start a conversation in the community about heroin beyond just events at the high schools. It is amazing how many are impacted,” said Loveland resident, Ann Schnure. She further explained that she got to know a woman in our local area who had stopped going to church as she didn’t feel supported with her son’s struggle with heroin addiction. “Drug addiction is a disease and a lifelong struggle. After watching families lose their precious children to heroin, our church wants to help start conversations about what is going on with this in our community.”
Schnure has organized a Heroin Epidemic Information Seminar, a community event and open to all. It will be held at Epiphany United Methodist Church on Sunday March 12 at 7:30 PM.
She has invited Newtown Police Chief Tom Synan from the Hamilton County Heroin Coalition to speak.
Schnure said, “I have so many stories just in the last two weeks of the toll this disease is taking.”
