This is a news release from the DuPont Corporate Remediation Group:
KINGS MILLS, OH — Little Miami Scenic Trail users can call 513-552-7030 for recorded updates on trail closure in the vicinity of Grandin Rd. (Kings Mills, approximate mile marker 35 to 35.5) due to remediation of soil from the former Peters Cartridge factory site.
Trail information is also available at www.littlemiamistatepark.org. Beginning Mon., March 23 through Fri., March, 27, the Trail will be closed weekdays from 7 AM to 5:30 PM from mile marker 35 to 35.5.
No access through the work zone will be permitted for the safety of Trail users and workers.
The Trail will be open evenings and weekends.
No detour will be provided when remediation work is in process.
The Trail parking lot at Grandin Rd. will remain open as much as possible, and during closures. Trail users may park and access the Trail heading northeast unless otherwise posted.
To further ensure safety, notification signs as follows will also be placed at nearby path access locations to notify Trail users well in advance of the work area.
