Loveland, Ohio – Loveland High School (LHS) Senior Dean Parker enjoyed nothing but love in Loveland as a crowded auditorium of supporters gave his film – No Love In Loveland – a standing ovation after the world premiere Sunday, Sept. 13. Parker’s film has been accepted as a finalist in the All American High School Film Festival – the largest high school film festival in the country. The 12-minute long film will be screened at the AMC in Times Square, New York City, in October.
“I was so wowed and excited,” said Parker about reading the news from the All American High School Film Festival. “It was like a dream come true.
“The support from Loveland has been more than I could have asked for. I am so totally amazed by all the wonderful compliments on the film. To have that support means a lot, and I never expected to have this much. It’s amazing.”
“I was very impressed with the trailer and extremely excited for his acceptance into the All American High School Film Festival,” said Jim Barrett, Parker’s photography teacher. “It’s an honor for him to be in such a competition, and more importantly – an incredible experience to go to New York City to be part of everything!”
“The standing ovation at the Sunday evening world premiere really said it all,” said LHS Principal Peggy Johnson. “We are all so proud!”
