Success of third-annual Walk-a-Thon to provide programs for LECC, LPS and LES
Loveland, Ohio – The Loveland Elementary PTA has done it again – this year raising more than $55,000 during the third-annual Walk-a-Thon to support student learning at Loveland Early Childhood Center (LECC), Loveland Primary School (LPS) and Loveland Elementary School (LES).
“The LEPTA is truly overwhelmed by the generosity of our families and our community!” said LEPTA Fundraising Coordinator Amy Friday. “We also want to thank all of the local businesses in Loveland and the Cincinnati area for supporting our cause and donating prizes for this event.”
Money raised is used to pay for field trips, visiting author/illustrator assemblies, Science Day, Field Day supplies, stipends to teachers for classroom supplies, COSI on Wheels, food and treats for special events, and the annual Teacher Appreciation Luncheon festivities.
“A huge thank you to the LEPTA for hosting another amazing Walk-a-Thon. Our students truly enjoyed all of the fun stations along the route – the limbo, an obstacle course, a relay, a dance party, class pictures, and of course, a popsicle!” said LES Principal Jennifer Forren. “The LEPTA works very hard to put on this huge event, and they are extremely generous with the funds that are raised.”
