Loveland, Ohio –Ā Loveland Elementary School (LES) third-grade students in Mrs. Steele and Mrs. Mangano’s classes learned history by walking outside the classroom and throughout the City of Loveland. The historical walking field trip included a visit to the Rich Log Cabin at the Loveland Historical Museum, and a nature scavenger hunt in Nisbet Park.

ā€œWe are so lucky to be in a community where students can experience learning from primary sources first hand,ā€ said LES Teacher Summer Mangano.Ā ā€œWe are excited that all of our students in third grade get to do this. It is a great field trip, and they enjoy it so much!ā€

ā€œThe students gave this field trip a five star!ā€ said LES Teacher Becky Steele. ā€œWe are lucky to have the opportunity to create a hands-on learning experience for them.Ā We are also fortunate to have Mrs. French, a retired teacher from Loveland, help give the tour at the historical log cabin.ā€
