LECC Students Mason Greeninger and Berkeley Zappin take the stage with actors from The Childrenā€™s Theater on Tour during the show.

It was an opportunity to transform important lessons into art at the Loveland Early Childhood Center (LECC) for some creative learning. First, kindergarten and preschoolĀ students got a chance to see The Children’s Theater on Tour perform Town Mouse and City Mouse. The play featured Town Mouse and Country Mouse exploring each otherā€™s lives to decide once and for all if the grass is truly greener on the other side!

ā€œOur students enjoyed this show thanks to the tremendous support of our PTA for funding this wonderful program,ā€ said LECC Principal Kyle Bush. ā€œWe really appreciate the continued strong parent partnership that generates opportunities for outside agencies such as The Childrenā€™s Theater on Tour to interact with our students. This was an enriching experience for all involved.ā€

Frst grader Judah Walters became part of the show and helped students to learn the phrase “Open Your Eyes, Be Energy Wise!”

LECC first-grade students watched a performance by the National Theater for Children (sponsored by Duke Energy) called the Conservation Caper.

ā€œThis was an opportunity to learn about conserving energy in connection with our science unit on energy,ā€ said Bush. ā€œWe always welcome working with outside partners in education to help us think outside of the box when delivering these important lessons, and we appreciate Duke Energy for sponsoring this event.ā€
