Loveland, Ohio – The City’s 2016 Great American Cleanup day will be held on Saturday, April 30, starting at 9 AM at the Little Miami Conservancy Scenic River & Trail Center, 211 Railroad Avenue, next to Nisbet Park in historic Downtown. All members of the community are welcomed and encouraged to volunteer their time to help clean up our community. Supplies, drinks, and t-shirts are provided. Members of the Loveland Tree and Environment Committee are organizing the cleanup.
The Environment Committee has participated in the Great American Cleanup for many years. Committee Chairman Gary Benesh said, “Loveland is renowned for the Scenic River, bike trail, and many nature preserves and parks. I hope for a great turnout to help keep these natural assets clean and attractive.”
Little Miami Conservancy is a local river conservation organization dedicated to the protection of Ohio’s first designated State and National Wild and Scenic River that runs through our downtown. The Little Miami River was designated as such in 1969. The Conservancy first joined with the City’s Tree and Environment Committee for the cleanup event in 2009.
