First Runner Up
Loveland, Ohio – The Loveland High School (LHS) Show Choir By Request earned the title of First Runner Up in a field of the top 18 show choirs in the nation. The students performed this past weekend (April 24-25) at the Genesee Theater in Waukegan, just outside of Chicago, at the Show Choir National Series Finals. By Request qualified for the event by winning first runner-up at the FAME Show Choir National Championship Series held in New York City in March.
Drew Lowry was named best male soloist of the entire contest.
The Loveland choir finished behind, Los Alamitos High School’s SoundFX – CAMIXED in the mixed show choir competition.

“I am so proud of the tradition of excellence the kids are creating,” said LHS Teacher and Show Choir Director Shawn Miller. “Through their hard work and amazing talent they have reached a level that many groups only dream about.”
There will be one more chance for folks to see their show this year. The final shows/ fundraiser of the year is the Taste of Music on May 9th at Loveland High School from 5 until 8:30 PM. (See poster below)

The drummer that you hear is DK Dews. The band is part of By Request, but known as Encore. They were awarded “Best Band” in almost every contest they entered this year.
