Preparing for largest student population ever at Loveland High School

Loveland, Ohio – Loveland High School (LHS) will undergo a mild renovation during the summer to prepare the building for an increased student population during the 2016-17 school year. The renovation encompasses a reconfiguration of interior space that will allow for increased student [quote_right]Preparing for largest student population ever at Loveland High School[/quote_right]cafeteria capacity, a relocation of the attendance office to provide a significant upgrade in school security, the installation of handicap accessible doors, a redesign of the Media Center to create space for two additional classrooms, construction of a handicap accessible restroom facility in the cafeteria area and the addition of science classroom furnishings to enhance offerings to students.

“I commend the work of the LHS administrative team – especially Principal Peggy Johnson – who has spent countless hours developing this plan to provide adequate space for what will be the largest student population ever at our high school,” said Loveland Superintendent Chad Hilliker. “Mrs. Johnson and her team have simply done an outstanding job on this plan, and we are excited for the students to come back this fall to a much-improved building configuration.”

Enrollment at LHS for the 2016-17 school year is expected to be 1,528; that is up from a current enrollment of 1,420 this school year.
