It is with great sadness that we inform you of the passing of Chief Candice Cook. Mrs. Cook served as the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for the Loveland-Symmes Fire Department (LSFD) since 1993. She passed away suddenly on Saturday, March 24th, surrounded by her loving family and friends. Her leadership and skills were vital to LSFD and her contributions to the success of our organization cannot be overstated. Please keep the Cook family and LSFD in your thoughts and prayers, as she will be deeply missed by all.
Terry Schildmeyer, member of the LSFD Board of Directors stated, “In my thirteen years of serving alongside Candy, I have watched our hometown fire department become the best in the region. Candy was a cornerstone of the Loveland-Symmes Fire Department for the past 25 years.”
Arrangements: family and friends will be received from 4-8 p.m. on Friday, March 30th at Tufts Schildmeyer Family Funeral Home, 129 N. Riverside Ave, Loveland, OH 45140, where services will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, March 31st. Interment Gate of Heaven Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in memory of Candy may be directed to Loveland Firefighters Association, PO Box 925, Loveland, OH 45140.

Loving wife of Keith Cook. Beloved mother of Briana (Anthony) Smith and Joshua (Melanie) Cook. Proud grandmother of Tanner Shands, Bryce Smith, Reece Smith, Regan Smith, Samantha Back, Kylah Cook, Braylon Cook, and Alexis Leach. Dear sister of Gary (Pat) Huber, Terry Huber, Alan (Donna) Huber, Otto (Terri) Huber, Lisa (Marco) Oliverio, and the late Linda Huber. Candy is survived by numerous nieces, nephews, friends, and family of the Loveland Symmes Fire Department. Passed away March 24, 2018 at the age of 60.
