Loveland-Earth-Day-FINAL-DONE

Loveland, Ohio – Earth Day is a national day to focus on the environment. The Loveland Sustainability Council is sponsoring a Sustainability Expo on April 22, from 4 until 6:30 PM at the Jackson Street Market in Historic Downtown. There will be a dozen vendors who will showcase different ways to reduce, reuse and recycle, as well as businesses that engage in sustainable practices.

One of the vendors is Scrapnati, a creative reuse center. This non-profit exists to keep gently used art and other materials out of the landfill. Amy Van Strien said, “If you are an artist, student, parent, teacher, kid or adult, Scrapnati is a place to find, donate, and be inspired by a myriad of art, crafts and just plain cool materials.” Scrapnati will be collecting wine corks, beads and buttons at the Sustainability Expo in Loveland.

“The Sustainability Expo will have prizes and giveaways, so be sure to stop by Jackson Street Market on April 22,” said Van Strien.

Do you know when the first Earth Day was celebrated? After you visit the Sustainability Expo be sure to head over to Julian’s for Trivia with great prizes from 5 until 7 PM.

Van Strien said, “If you have time between 3 and 5 on Earth Day, please consider signing up to volunteer to clean up the Little Miami trail or help prepare Grailville gardens and wetlands. Send Van Strien an email if you can volunteer. Learn more about the Loveland Sustainability Council.
