Loveland, Ohio – Loveland High School (LHS) has a new Assistant Principal for the 2016-17 school year. Matt Buis comes to LHS from Mercer Elementary School where he served as an assistant principal since 2015. He began his teaching role in 2008, and has worked in school counseling and coaching capacities since that time in both Kentucky and Cincinnati-area districts. He earned his bachelor’s degree from Northern Kentucky University in 2006, and his school counseling degree and master’s in education from Xavier University in 2011, and a master’s in educational leadership from University of Cincinnati in 2013.
“I’m excited to continue to enhance the community of Loveland High School in the role of assistant principal through a focus on relationship building, consistency, and student-focused attention to detail,” said Buis. “It feels great to be a Tiger!”
“We are thrilled to have Mr. Buis as the newest member of our LHS team,” said LHS Principal Peggy Johnson. “With his proven student-focus and background in school counseling, he brings valuable skills that will complement our current strengths. We wish Mr. Wickline all the best in his future, and thank him for the time he spent serving the students at Loveland.”
Former LHS Assistant Principal Adam Wickline accepted a position as an assistant principal at Wilson Middle School in Hamilton City Schools. The contract for Mr. Buis was approved at the August 2 Board of Education work session.
