Now more than ever is an important time to start attending Job Fairs if you are in need of a job as those on unemployment in Ohio will be required to actively look for work in order to receive benefits starting on May 23rd.

Ohio Jobs and Family Services announced that the weekly work-search requirement to receive unemployment payments will be re-implemented because the COVID-19 vaccine is now readily available for all Ohio adults. Weekly work-search activities are to be done using OhioMeansJobs.com. These specific activities include actively applying for jobs, attending a resume-writing seminar, and honoring a re-employment plan.

Those Ohioans that have been furloughed for less than 45 days or are in approved training are exempt from the weekly work-search requirement per Ohio law.

For more information on the 2021 Job Fair you can visit the Little Miami Chamber of Alliance’s website or call their office at 513-683-1544.
