Madison Conatser and Jessie Gibbins
Loveland, Ohio – For the 1st time in Loveland High School history, two State qualifiers will be running in the same event at the Ohio Track and Field Championship. Sophomore, Madison Conatser (2:20.50) and Junior, Jessie Gibbins (2:20.60) placed 3rd and 4th respectively in the 800 meter run at the Regional Championships. The pair also qualified in the 4×800 meter relay team with teammates Emmy Sager, and Sarah Madix.
The track and field state tournament is Friday and Saturday at three Central Ohio high schools, since Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium at The Ohio State University is not available due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The Division I meet, featuring the Tiger athletes will be held at Hilliard Darby High School. Based on his time in the 1600 meter run, Junior, Ryan Chevalier qualified for an at large spot . He also qualified in the 3200 meter relay with teammates, J.P. Tew, Brady Steiner, and Ajay Stutz.
