Loveland, Ohio – The Loveland Women’s basketball team beat West Clermont last Saturday afternoon that determined whether they would win the ECC title outright or share it with Walnut Hills. A loss to the Wolves would have meant they would have to wait until evening for the result of the Eagles vs. Withrow match. Walnut left little doubt they wanted their share of the title scoring 111 points in their final season game against Withrow at home on Saturday evening allowing only 19 Withrow points.
Loveland and Walnut split their match-up during the regular season both winning their respective home games.
Jillian Hays was the top game scorer with 14 and 10 rebounds. Jenna Batch scored 10 and Kate Garry scored 8. (Complete Game Stats)
POSTSEASON ECC UPDATE: Sectional match-ups are as follows: Walnut Hills vs. St. Ursula Wednesday at Lakota East HS at 8 PM; Loveland vs. Talawanda Thursday at Lakota East HS at 8 PM; Turpin vs. Edgewood Thursday at Sycamore HS at 6 PM; Withrow vs. Mount Notre Dame Thursday at 7:30 PM; West Clermont vs. Fairfield Saturday at Lakota East HS at Noon; Milford vs. Winton Woods Saturday at Sycamore HS at 1 PM; and Anderson vs. Kings Saturday at Sycamore HS at 2:30 PM.
