Loveland City School District superintendent
How do we prepare students for tomorrow, today? It’s through equipping students with new science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) offerings in middle and high school. It’s with the establishment of seven additional AP courses at LHS. It’s by the implementation of a 1:1 device plan for LHS, and by making available 1,800 plus Chromebooks and Android tablets for our students district-wide.
During the 2015-16 school year, these are some of the significant strides our district made for students, and they are highlighted now in the fourth edition of our annual Quality Profile report – released to the community September 14, and available in the “About” section of our district website at www.lovelandschools.org (http://www.lovelandschools.org/about.aspx). It paints not only the picture of our academic achievements, but also develops the more complete story of the Loveland student experience, which includes an exceptional arts program and premier athletics – all situated in the heart of Loveland – a community that understands the importance of educating the whole child.
Our mission is clear: Preparing Students for Tomorrow, Today. That mission guides every decision we make – every student, every classroom, every building, every day. Those decisions develop the vision we have – being a destination school district exemplified through our dedicated approach to the complete student experience. The achievements we made in 2015-16 were outstanding; we continue to author new chapters. Destination Loveland is both a partnership and a journey we will walk together to continue to create new avenues for our students to achieve excellence – this year with an intense focus on each student’s personal academic growth, the continued development of an innovative learning environment and with a dedicated approach to caring for each student.
There is a reason why our families – including my own – have made the decision to raise their children here. As the educational leader of this district – I am committed to work with you to ensure it remains that way. It is an exciting time to be a Tiger!
Dedicated to the future of our students,
Chad Hilliker
