New LHS Tiger varsity basketball coach named
Loveland, Ohio –Ā The Loveland City School District has announced the administration will recommendĀ Rob ReisĀ for employment as the new Loveland High School (LHS) Tiger varsity basketball coach andĀ social studies teacherĀ at the upcomingĀ May 5Ā Board of Education Work Session.Ā Reis, who has taught atĀ SycamoreĀ sinceĀ 2000, hasĀ 17Ā years teaching experience, and has served as a coach in various sports sinceĀ 1996.
āIt is myĀ privilegeĀ to recommend Rob Reis as our new men’s basketball coach,ā said Julie Renner, district director of student athletics.Ā āHis background andĀ experience in coaching at the varsity level in both basketball and football here in the Cincinnati area brings the knowledge and energy we are looking for in our next head coach.Ā Rob is also a community member of Loveland, ready to give his all to the student-athletes of Loveland.ā
ReisĀ attendedĀ Miami UniversityĀ where he earned hisĀ Secondary Social Studies Education degree in 1997. He began serving students as a teacher atĀ Fairfield City Schools (1998-2000) and then at Sycamore Community Schools (2000 to present). His coaching career began inĀ 1996Ā and has included coaching all levels of basketball as well as footballĀ at Fairfield, Sycamore and Mason Schools.Ā Most recently, Reis has been the Varsity Assistant Basketball Coach at Mason High School, playing a big part in their 20-3 season.
āI am excited to be coming to Loveland High School as a teacher, and the head varsity men’s basketball coach,ā said Reis.Ā āIt is obvious to me that Loveland is a first-class school district, and I am looking forward to leading the men’s basketball program into the future.ā
ReisĀ will replace Tiger Varsity Basketball Coach Tim Partin ā who is set to retire at the end of this school year.
