    Loveland Board of Education seeks members for Board Planning Commission

    Loveland, Ohio – The Loveland City School District Board of Education has announced that it is seeking community members for a Planning Commission. The commission will assist the board with researching and evaluating a variety of assigned issues and topics relating to the schools.

    “We see this as an opportunity to engage our community in a variety of issues affecting our schools on an ongoing basis,” said Board President Dr. Kathryn Lorenz. “I’m hopeful that we’ll be able to capitalize on residents’ expertise, ideas, and dedication to the success of our schools as it relates to finances, facilities, school improvements, student experience, communications, and community engagement.”

    The Planning Commission will have a maximum of 25 participating members. At capacity, it will be composed of seven faculty and staff members and 18 citizens of the school district. The residents, who will be appointed by the Board of Education, will reflect the diversity of the community. Student participation will also be sought, in particular for the committee on school improvement and student experience.

    Susanne Quigley will be new Chief Information Officer for Loveland District

    Susanne Quigley is a longtime Tiger

    Loveland, Ohio – The Loveland Board of Education has hired Susanne Quigley as the district’s new Chief Information Officer. Quigley, lives in the Loveland community and has students in the district.

    Heather Higdon has been hired as the director of communications for Indian Hill.

    Quigley brings 20 years of communications experience to the role, most recently serving as a communications specialist for Frost Brown Todd LLC where she has worked since 2014. In addition to her work as a communications specialist, Quigley has also served as a marketing director, content director and editor, copyeditor, and translator. She holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism and political science from the University of Göteborg, Sweden, and a master’s degree in international economics and international relations from Johns Hopkins University Paul H. Nitze School of Advanced International Studies in Washington, D.C.

    Quigley replaces Heather Higdon who is leaving the district to take a position as the director of communications for the Indian Hill Exempted Village School District.

    Loveland-Symmes Fire Department awarded five Samsung/Android tablets

    The Ohio Division of Emergency Medical Services (EMS) selected the Loveland-Symmes Fire Department (LSFD) as an awardee of five Samsung/Android tablets.

    The advancements in technology have allowed for improvements in the ability or firefighters to document the care that they provide to their customers. Tablets can be utilized to assist in the process of documenting critical patient care more effectively. In addition, tablets can provide valuable information to emergency responders during critical incidents. The ability to decrease the amount of time spent documenting actions allows for an increase of focus to be given to the actual patient care being provided.

    Jon Frye, Deputy Chief of Communications and Technology for the Loveland-Symmes Fire Department stated, “These tablets will allow our firefighters to continue to provide the highest quality of care to our customers. LSFD continues to remain on the cutting edge of technology.”

    Captain Bruce Hawk is the Public Information Officer of the Loveland-Symmes Fire Department

    The Loveland-Symmes Fire Department is continuously seeking methods to improve the emergency response capabilities for our EMS. These tablets will directly impact the Loveland-Symmes Fire Department’s ability to effectively document the care we provide to our customers. LSFD continues to adhere to their mission statement, “to provide the most technologically advanced fire and rescue service with the highest trained professionals and to deliver that service to our customers with loyalty and compassion.”
