    Open House/Public Meeting on Fields Ertel Road projects

    Deerfield Township, Ohio – The public is invited to an open-house public meeting regarding two projects currently under development by the Warren County Transportation Improvement District (WCTID) to address transportation needs in the Fields-Ertel Road Corridor.
    The two projects are: construction of a new entrance ramp from Mason-Montgomery Road directly to Southbound Interstate 71 in conjunction with the Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) and the reconstruction of Fields-Ertel Road from Snider Road to Wilkens Boulevard.
    The meeting will be held on Wednesday, December 5, 2018 from 4:30 PM – 7:00 PM, at the Deerfield Township Administration Center, 4900 Parkway Drive, Suite 180, Mason, Ohio 45040.
    This meeting is an opportunity for the public to review and comment on preliminary alternatives and designs for the respective projects. The meeting is planned as an open house format so you may attend any time during the hours from 4:30 PM – 7:00 PM. Exhibits of the alternatives and preliminary designs will be on display along with additional information for the two projects. County and ODOT officials along with their design consultants will be available to answer questions, and receive your comments. Opportunities to submit written comments during and following the meeting will be provided. Following the meeting, comments can be submitted until January 5th, 2019, to Dan Corey (WCTID) via email at Dan.Corey@co.warren.oh.us or by mail to Warren County Transportation Improvement District, 210 W Main Street, Lebanon, Ohio 45036.     Nightly alternating lane closures on Mason-Montgomery Road begins Sunday, Sept. 23

    Deerfield Township, Ohio – Alternating Lane Closures on Mason-Montgomery Road are scheduled to begin 7 PM – 6 AM, Sunday, September 23, for paving work between Merten Drive and Socialville-Fosters Road. The lane closures will last for two (2) weeks, weather permitting, and may include work on the weekends as well as weekdays. Expect delays.

    While traffic will be maintained through the project area, motorists are encouraged to consider alternate routes parallel to Mason-Montgomery Road such as Wilkens Boulevard and Duke Boulevard whenever possible.

    Portion of Socialville-Fosters Road to close next week

    Deerfield Township, Ohio – Socialville-Fosters Road will be closed between Stablegate Lane and the Old 3C Highway beginning Monday, May 14, through Wednesday, May 16, weather permitting. The closure will allow for drilling related to the design of a future retaining wall. A detour will be posted using Landen Drive, US 22/SR 3 and the Old 3C Highway.
     
    Drivers are encouraged to slow down and use extra caution when traveling through and around active work zones. For up-to-date advisories about roadway projects throughout Warren County, check out the Warren County Engineer’s website.

    The City does not list any Christmas Tree recycling this year.

    Milford

    The City does not list any Christmas Tree recycling this year.

    Hamilton Township

    The Township does not list any Christmas Tree recycling this year.

    Miami Township

    Christmas tree recycling starts on December 26th and ends on January 31st. The drop-off locations are at Miami Meadows Park at 1546 State Route 131 and Paxton Ramsey Park at 6265 Price Rd. Drop-off areas will be marked at the parks. Call the Service Department at 248-3728 for more information.

    Symmes Township

    Symmes Township will be offering free Christmas tree recycling for its residents this year from Tuesday, December 26, 2017 through Friday, January 26, 2018.

    Place trees in the designated area located behind the Township Administration building, 9323 Union Cemetery Road.  All ornaments, tinsel and plastic wrapping must be removed so the trees can be mulched.

    Deerfield Township

    Recycle your Christmas Tree at one of our 3 park locations

    Deerfield will have 3 Christmas Tree Drop Off locations setup in the Township through January 20th. These locations will be at Cottell, Fleckenstein, and Landen-Deerfield Parks.

    Deerfield Township Parks are open daily from dawn until dusk. Areas will be sectioned off and posted with signs for township residents to drop off their Christmas trees. Christmas trees will be accepted for recycling between December 28, 2016 – January 20, 2017.

    Montgomery

    Holiday trees and greenery, along with yard waste, will be collected on the first three Saturdays in January. Christmas trees, wreaths and swags can be placed at the curb along with yard waste.  Residents will not be required to have a yard waste sticker attached to them. Please place all waste at the curb on Friday evening prior to the Saturday pick-up.

    Rumpke will collect all greenery and any remaining yard waste on one of the following three Saturday dates:

    Saturday, January 7

    Saturday, January 14

    Saturday, January 21

    Each item must be completely free of all plastic, flocking, tinsel and decorations. All yard waste must be placed in bags in the event of snow, due to freezing.
