Loveland, Ohio – Loveland High School Athletics has yet again seen several Tiger teams reach their peak as the Winter Sports season comes to an end! Loveland’s Athletic Director, Brian Conaster, made the announcement Monday that Liam Hamill will be competing in the State Championship for Wrestling and the Women’s Indoor Track Team will be competing in the National Championship.
Senior Liam Hamill wrestled his heart out on Saturday lending him the opportunity to advance to the State Championship Tournament which will take place in Columbus on Friday, March 13th through Sunday, March 15th. Liam finished at the top of the 170 weight class in the ECC with 34 wins, 9 losses, and 23 pins. Check out these photos from over the weekend of Hamill pre and post-victory!

Loveland’s Women’s Indoor Track Team also made some noise this weekend at the State Tournament placing 13th as a team! Several Lady Tigers competed at the chance to make it to the National Tournament, which will be held in Harlem, New York beginning on Friday, March 13th. Individually Kaitlyn Andrews competed in the 60m dash and the 200m dash, Miya Brines competed in the 60m hurdles and the long jump, Sarah Hallock competed in the 400m dash, Emmy Sager competed in the 3200m run, Megan Korniak competed in the high jump, and Sophia Horrigan competed in the pole vault. The Tigers also competed in the 4x200m relay, which included Miya Brines, Kaitlyn Andrews, Reagan Brunett, and Sarah Hallock, the 4x400m relay, which consisted of Ellie Carr, Ava Westfall, Chloe Smeller, and Sarah Hallock, and the 4x800m relay, which included Ellie Carr, Jessie Gibbins, Sarah Madix, and Ansley Richards.
After competing like Tigers over the weekend Miya Brines advanced to Nationals in the 60m hurdles and the 4x800m relay team advanced as well! Brines will be racing on Saturday, March 14th while the 4x800m relay squad will compete on Friday, March 13th. Check out the podium shot that was captured of our Lady Tigers on Sunday!
Conaster was so proud of the Tigers that advanced to the State and National Tournaments that he decided to host a send-off parade at LHS on Wednesday, March 11th, at 2 pm. Conaster reminded teachers to, “Please have your class step into the hallway, outside of your classroom, for the send-off parade. Our student-athletes, their coaches and the drumline will come to every floor starting at 2:00 pm. Please have your class, out in the hallway, to cheer them on! We appreciate your support for these athletes!”

Loveland, Ohio – On Wednesday, November 13th, several Tigers were recognized for both their minds and their athletic abilities at the 2019 Annual Fall Sports Awards at Loveland High School! LHS Athletic Director, Brian Conatser invited friends, families, and Fall Tiger student-athletes to celebrate their 2019 sports seasons.

Conatser began the heartfelt evening with a tradition of this ceremony at LHS…the senior athletes are announced and led into the gym by their head coach. Conatser invited LHS’s Site Manager and Facilities Coordinator, Jake Elfers to announce the 2019 Fall senior athletes and their coaches.
Next Conatser took the opportunity to thank everyone who made the athletes and coaches seasons so special! “Thank you, Seniors, for your leadership and laying the groundwork within our programs,” Conatser said, “This evening I would like to introduce the administration and members from the athletic department that have joined me in this celebration. Principal, Peggy Johnson, Assistant Director of Student Athletics, Eric Fry, Site Manager & Facilities Coordinator, Jake Elfers. And Finally…our Administrative Assistant in the Athletic Department, Kristy Brulport. A special thanks to all the individuals who support and assist the athletic department and our student-athletes on a daily basis. Parents, Student-Athletes please give your parents a round of applause for their support, feeding you, driving you to and from practices, and always being a part of your games and competition,” Conatser added, “LAB Team Liaisons please stand and be recognized. We appreciate your time commitment and efforts…as you are the link between our Boosters and our Athletic Programs. Thank you for all you do. Coaches, thank you for the tremendous amount of time you spend with our student-athletes. We appreciate you mentoring our young men and women and teaching them the life skills necessary to be successful both now and in their future. Thank you! We are “Extremely Proud” of our teams and programs this Fall season. You have all been Very enjoyable to Watch and Cheer on,” Conatser said.
The Tigers’ 2019 Fall Sports Season marked one of the most successful Fall sports seasons in school history with 5 ECC Champions, 4 ECC Coaches of the Year and 2 ECC Athletes of the Year. With all of these accolades, this puts the Loveland Tigers in the number one spot in running for the All-Sports Trophy. Conatser was sure to give praise to both the coaches and athletes for their designated seasons as he shared the “Coaches Highlights of the Fall Season” told through the coaches’ own words during the ceremony.

Loveland, Ohio – Eleven Tigers made the community of Loveland proud on Wednesday each committing to playing athletics at the collegiate level. Loveland High School invited the community to attend its annual 2019 Fall Sports Signing Day ceremony where each athlete was able to sign their National Letter of Intent with their coaches, friends, and families present!
Loveland High School Athletic Director, Brian Conaster, in front of a packed LHS gym, first presented each athlete along with their accolades and then proceeded in asking that athlete to officially sign their letter of intent. Loveland, Ohio – It’s no secret to the Loveland community that Loveland High School is home to some of Ohio’s top athletes! The Loveland Tigers had quite the 2019 Fall sports season in the Eastern Cincinnati Conference collecting 5 conference titles, 4 Coach of the Year titles, 2 Athlete of the Year titles and several All-Conference First Team, Second Team, and Honorable Mention accolades.
With all of the victories and accolades, Loveland High School Athletics has put on the board for the 2019 Season thus far puts the Tigers at the number 1 spot with 62 points for the ECC All-Sports Trophy, which is one of the highest honors the ECC bestows. With the 2019 Fall sports season coming to an end there is no doubt in anyone’s mind that winning the ECC All-Sports Trophy may, in fact, be in Loveland High School’s near future!
The Eastern Cincinnati Conference released the teams, athletes, and coaches that were awarded All ECC honors on their website for the 2019 Fall sports season. Columbus, Ohio – The Loveland High School Women’s Track and Field team sent 3 athletes to represent the Tigers at the OHSAA State Track and Field Tournament in Columbus, Ohio over the weekend. Miya Brines, Jordan Morrison, and Kaitlyn Andrews raced their way into the state tournament after placing 5th at the Regional Tournament in the 100-meter hurdles, the 300-meter hurdles, and the 200-meter dash.
The school held a state tournament send off for Brines, Morrison, and Andrews Friday afternoon. Students, staff and family members showed their love and support for the Lady Tigers in a confetti-covered Loveland High School Fitness Center. Students held up whole made signs and “made some noise” as the 3 track stars enjoyed cookies and words of encouragement from peers, teachers, and coaches. The three Tigers made their way to the Jesse Owens Stadium at The Ohio State University and competed in their preliminary races on Friday evening.
Miya Brines, the Tiger’s 100-meter hurdler, ran an outstanding race and not only shattered the school record with a time of 14.72 seconds but also qualified for finals with a 6th place finish. Brines qualifying finish was also her personal best time for the season in the 100-meter hurdles. The previous record for the 100-meter hurdles was held by Gabby Dierling in 2016 with a time of 14.90 seconds.
Kaitlyn Andrews, who ran a personal best time of 25.06 seconds to qualify to compete in the 200-meter dash, was not able to participate due to an injury she sustained right before the meet.
Jordan Morrison, who qualified for the 300-meter hurdle state prelims with a personal best time of 45.37, finished her season strong at the state meet running a 46.78. Check out the tweet from one of the many Loveland track supporters that were at the state meet Friday.

On Saturday Brines made her way down to the track to compete in the finals of the 100-meter hurdles. Brines finished the race with a 14.70, beating her school record and her personal best time. Brines earned a 4th place finish qualifying her to medal on the podium! Those who came to watch the Lady Tigers compete celebrated Brines accolades through tweets on Saturday. Loveland, Ohio – The Loveland Womens Soccer team sits at 10-0-3 (5-0-1 conference) and has a big game coming up on October 9th at Turpin. Turpin sits at 5-1 in conference and 6-6-0 overall. Leading the way for Loveland is Senior, Brooke Harden, who has 8 goals and 8 assists in 13 games. Another strong leader for Loveland is Junior, Kaitlyn Andrews, who has 3 goals and 7 assists in 13 games. Loveland plays at home against Mount Norte Dame on Saturday October 6th at 7 PM.
The Loveland Mens Soccer team sits at 9-4 (4-1 conference). Loveland is a half game behind Turpin in conference and looks to take over the conference lead when they play Turpin on October 11th at 7 PM. Leading the way for Loveland is Senior, Aiden Kopek, who has 7 goals and 2 assists in 7 games this season. Loveland is Sophomore, Helga Harris, another leader, has 8 goals in 7 games played. Loveland plays at West Clermont tomorrow night (October 4th) at 7:00 PM.
The Loveland Womens Tennis team sits at 13-3 (5-1 conference). Loveland had a strong showing at the ECC Conference Championships taking second with 33 points. Loveland Senior, Peyton Beller, leads the way with a 13-6 overall (5-1 conference) record. Peyton was awarded the 3rd seed in the Cincinnati Sectional for her strong play this season. Peyton will start her postseason taking on Eichorn of Oak Hills. Loveland Junior, Anna Svitkovich, also a leader, sits at 11-6 (5-1 conference) on the season. Anna was awarded the 4th seed in the Cincinnati Sectional and will start off against Ramirez of Harrison. Loveland has their Sectionals Tomorrow (October 4th) at the Lindner Family Tennis Center at 8:30 AM.
