    This rare Thursday night mens basketball is a make-up game. It will be played in the Loveland gym at 7:30 PM. The Tigers also play the Wolves in the regular season finale on Friday at 7:30 when they travel to West Clermont High School.

    The Loveland Tigers match up against the Wolves of West Clermont in a meaningful conference game on Thursday. For Loveland ( 5-15, 3-9 conf) this game could jump start some momentum going into the postseason. For West Clermont (13-6, 7-5 conf) this game could boost their standings as the Wolves from West Clermont are a game back of the Milford Eagles.




    For Loveland look for Junior Guard Jalen Greiser who averages 13.8 points per game on 42.0% shooting. For Loveland look for Junior Guard Matt Toigo who averages 9.7 points per game on 52.6% shooting (45.6% from 3).     The Loveland Tigers (5-14, 3-8 conf) face off against the Walnut Hills Eagles (15-5, 11-1 conf) in an important conference game on Tuesday, February 13. The game is in the Tiger gym at 7:30 PM.

    On the line for Loveland is the ability to keep their sole possession of 6th in the conference. While for Walnut Hills is the ability to win the outright conference title.

    Junior Gabe Rubio scored 12 and pulled down 6 rebounds against Withrow on February 2

    Withrow outlasts Loveland, 57-49

    Loveland Varsity Boys lost to Withrow on Friday, February 2, 57-49, after Withrow asserted its height advantage in the fourth quarter.

    Loveland used 93% free-throw shooting to keep the game close all night. But after a fiercely competitive third quarter in which sophomore Ian Cox scored seven points and Junior Tripp Willis added six, Withrow’s 6’11” Abba Lawal took over on the boards in the final stanza to key a definitive 10-2 run.

    Junior Gabe Rubio led Loveland with 12 points and six rebounds. Willis and Cox finished with 10 and 9 points, respectively. Senior Austin Huynh swished a crowd-pleasing 35-foot shot as time expired.

    Withrow’s Mike Hill, Jr., led all scorers with 21.

    Fall in OT, 43-41 to Anderson

    Loveland Varsity Boys fell at Anderson in overtime, 43-41 on Friday, February 9 after a controversial non-shooting foul call with 2.2 seconds left allowed Anderson to hit two game-winning free throws. 

    Junior Tripp Willis posted a double-double for the Tigers, grabbing 11 rebounds and scoring 11 points, including 8 straight in the first half. Junior Jalen Greiser scored 10 points and sophomore Alec Soth added 8.

    Loveland hosts Walnut Hills (Feb 13) and West Clermont (Feb 15), then travels to West Clermont for the regular-season finale (Feb 16).

    Loveland Tiger Tripp Willis scored 16 against the Braves

    A shorthanded Loveland men’s basketball team hosted the Cincinnati Hills League’s number two team, Indian Hill, Saturday, February 3rd at Tiger Court. Five varsity contributors were watching the game in street clothes due to injury or illness.

    The Braves entered the game with a 12-4 record, with only Deer Park ahead of them in the CHL standings. 

    Indian Hill held off a late Tiger rally to claim the victory, 53-50.



    On Senior night, Tiger Nation paid tribute to 6 cheerleaders and 4 players prior to the game.  Cheerleaders Caroline Bond, Lillie Clepper, Chasity Haskamp, Kelsey Micsky, Ashley Schmoock, and Miya Shultz were all given a load ovation by the Crowd. Senior players Austin Huynh, Brady McCluskey, Jack Stewart, and Parker Carrigan all started the game for the Tigers. 

    Stewart knocked in a three pointer in the opening minutes of the game to the delight of the Loveland student section. And Austin Huynh scored three consecutive points in the second quarter, earning a loud roar from the crowd.

    In a close first half, the Tigers trailed by 3 points at halftime, 22-19.

    A trey by Matt Toigo coming out of the locker room knotted the game at 22. But a 19-5 run by the Braves gave them a seemingly insurmountable 41-27 advantage early in the 4th quarter. But the ever-resilient Tigers scrapped and clawed to within 1-point, 51-50, with 28 seconds left. Two Indian Hill free throws extended their lead to 3. In the last 20 seconds, Loveland launched three attempts from beyond the arc for the tying field goal, but none would go down. 

    Indian Hill improved their season record to 13-4 and the Tigers dropped to 5-13.  Matt Toigo and Tripp Willis led the scoring effort for the Tigers with 18 and 16 points respectively.

    The Loveland women are on the road Saturday to West Clermont. Game time is 6 PM. 

    The Loveland Tigers (17-3, 10-3 conf) face off with the West Clermont Wolves (14-7, 10-3 conf) in an all important ECC battle. The first time around Loveland got the better of West Clermont with a 68 to 67 win.

    For Loveland look for Sophomore Forward Jillian Hayes who averages 15.4 points per game on 47.5% shooting. Jillian also averages 8.4 rebounds per game (4.0 offensive), as well as 3.2 steals a game and 1.4 blocks a game. Also for Loveland look for Sophomore Guard Kate Garry who averages 9.6 points per game on 34.3% shooting.

    For West Clermont look for Senior Guard Jasmine Hale who averages 12.6 points per game on 48.7% shooting. Jasmine also averages 3.0 assists per game and 1.8 steals a game. Also for West Clermont look for Junior Guard Dakota Reeves who averages 11.0 points per game on 43.6% shooting. Dakota also averages 4.3 rebounds (1.1 offensive) and 1.9 steals a game.

    The Loveland men are on the road Friday to Anderson. Game time is 7:30 PM. 

    The Loveland Tigers (5-13, 3-7 conf) match up against the Anderson Redskins (8-10, 6-5 conf), in an all important conference game. Loveland looks to get back on track, while Anderson looks to continue their recent success. In Anderson’s last three games they have two “quality” wins over the Withrow Tigers and Walnut Hills Eagles. The first time around Anderson got the better of Loveland with a 40-37 Win.

    Jalen Greiser was injured in the recent game against the Withrow Tigers. He is ready for a return match with Anderson. He scored 13 against Anderson on January 5th.

    For Loveland look for Junior Guard Jalen Greiser who is coming back from an injury that occured against the Withrow Tigers. Jalen averages 14.6 points per game on 41.9% shooting. Jalen also averages 5.8 rebounds (1.2 offensive) and 3.2 assists per game. For Loveland look for Junior Guard Matt Toigo who averages 10.0 points per game on 54.0% shooting (47.8% from 3). Also for Loveland look for Junior Forward Tripp Willis who averages 8.1 points per game on 44.1% shooting.     [Photo Album] Loveland Women over Little Miami 54-46

    The Walnut Hills showdown comes on Wednesday night at 7:30 PM in the Eagles gym.

    Loveland, Ohio – The Loveland Women defeated Little Miami in the Tiger gym on January 29, 54-46. They added to their victory streak in an away game on the 31st by defeating Turpin 56-47 and a 42-23 victory over Anderson on their Senior Day game.

    Now, 17 – 2 (10 – 2), the Loveland Women remain in second place in the ECC.

    Walnut Hills continues to top the conference at 19 – 1 (12 – 0) and West Clermont is in 3rd, 13 – 7 (9 – 3). Walnut is #4 and Loveland #6 in the Cincinnati Coaches Poll. West Clermont is #7. Loveland travels to West Clermont on Saturday, February on February 10 at 6 PM.

    The Walnut Hills showdown comes on Wednesday night at 7:30 PM in the Eagles gym. The Tigers were defeated in their ECC first go-around with Walnut Hills on January 3, by 26 points, 66 – 40.

    First match up, Loveland got the best of Anderson with a score of 50-37.

    This game has special meaning for the Loveland Tigers as it is their senior night and last home game.

    Loveland Varsity Men lost to Kings, 47-41, due to ten consecutive turnovers in the third quarter that fed a 17-2 run by Kings.

    Junior Jalen Greiser led Loveland with 20 points and 9 rebounds and 5 of 9 from the 3-pt. line. 

    Jake Peters matched Greisler’s 5-9, 3-pt. shooting and led all scorers with 23 for the Knights.

    The Loveland Women are due to go into battle in a home court contest against the Turpin Spartans on Wednesday at 7:30 PM. Loveland won their first ECC go-around W 39 – 27 on December 2.

    6’2 Junior Center Courtney Henthorne

    For the Tigers (8-2, 15-2) from Loveland look for 6’2 Junior Center Courtney Henthorne to be an impact player. Courtney averages 6.5 points per game on 54.4% shooting. Courtney has put up 49 points in her last 5 games (9.8 a game).

    Look for Sophomore Forward Jillian Hayes, Jillian is shooting 50.3% from the field and is averaging 16.3 points a game.
