Loveland, Ohio – The holidays can be so stressful for many families. So many gift expectations, so much food to buy and of course we can’t forget about all of the holiday decorations that need to be put up! With so many “wants” and “needs” during this time of the year there is always room for “giving,” and well that’s what both Vibe Nutrition and Vibe Fitness aim to do on December 13th at 6 PM.
The local fitness businesses will be collaborating on Friday for their Third Annual Toys for Tots Event and have guaranteed a night full of giving and holiday cheer! The event will include free food, a live band, split the pot, many Loveland “special guests” and a surprise birthday party. Oh and of course don’t forget to bring unwrapped toys for the “tots!
So just what is Toys for Tots? Below is the 411 on the Marine Toys for Tots Program!
“MISSION: The basic mission of the Marine Toys for Tots Program is to collect new unwrapped toys and distribute those toys to less fortunate children at Christmas.
GOAL: The primary goal of Marine Toys for Tots is, through the gift of a new toy, help bring the joy of Christmas and send a message of hope to America’s less fortunate children.
OVERVIEW: In order to better execute the Program, in 1991 the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation was created at the behest of the Marine Corps.
FOUNDATION OVERVIEW: The Marine Toys for Tots Foundation, is an IRS recognized 501(c)(3) not-for-profit public charity which was created at the behest of the U. S. Marine Corps in 1991.
FOUNDATION GOVERNANCE: The Marine Toys for Tots Foundation is governed by a board of directors, all of whom are veteran Marines and successful business leaders from throughout the nation. The Foundation’s professional staff is headquartered in the Cooper Center, which is located just outside the Main Gate of Marine Corps Base, Quantico, about 35 miles south of Washington, DC.
FOUNDATION MISSION: The mission of the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation is to assist the U. S. Marine Corps in providing a tangible sign of hope to economically disadvantaged children at Christmas. This assistance includes providing day-to-day leadership and oversight of the Program, raising funds to provide toys to supplement the collections of local Toys for Tots Campaigns, to provide promotional and support material and defray the costs of conducting annual Toys for Tots Campaigns. Other Foundation support includes providing administrative, advisory, financial, logistic and promotional support to local Toys for Tots Coordinators; managing funds raised and monies donated based on the use of Toys for Tots name or logo; providing other support the Marine Corps, as a federal agency, cannot provide; and conducting public education and information programs about Toys for Tots that call the general public to action in support of this patriotic community action program.
FOUNDATION OBJECTIVES: The objectives of the Foundation are to help less fortunate children throughout the United States experience the joy of Christmas; to play an active role in the development of one of our nation’s most valuable resources – our children; to unite all members of local communities in a common cause for three months each year during the annual toy collection and distribution campaign; and to contribute to improving communities in the future.
FOUNDATION ACTIVITIES: The Foundation engages in two categories of activities: Program Services and Support Services.
Program Services
Collection and Toy Distribution: This is the process of obtaining and delivering toys to local Toys for Tots Coordinators and providing the support and assistance those Coordinators need to conduct effective toy collection and distribution campaigns in their communities. Toy collection includes a combination of locally donated toys, those purchased by the Foundation, and those donated by corporations.
Support of Local Coordinators: This involves arranging the creation, publication, manufacture, and delivery of an array of promotion and support materials to local Coordinators. It includes managing all financial matters for local Coordinators as well as updating and publishing a manual for the conduct of local programs. Concisely stated, this activity encompasses providing a wide range of support to nearly 800 local Toys for Tots Coordinators and their support groups. Today, there are nearly 40,000 Marines, Marine Corps League members, veteran Marines and volunteers involved in annual campaigns.
Education: The Foundation conducts an annual public information and education campaign. This activity is designed to give the general public a clear understanding of the benefits that accrue to individuals, communities and the nation from Toys for Tots. It increases visibility and name recognition and calls the general public support in Toys for Tots. The campaign includes distributing a series of news releases, distributing TV and radio public service announcements, publishing newsletters arranging media events and appearances, arranging for national corporations to incorporate information about Toys for Tots into their paid advertisements, conducting special events, maintaining a website and distributing educational material about Toys for Tots to the general public.
Support Services
Management and General Activities: This involves accomplishing the spectrum of business management activities necessary to make an organization efficient and effective and to ensure the program and the Foundation operate in compliance with IRS regulations, federal and state laws and charitable standards.
Fundraising: The Foundation pursues a range of fundraising projects each year. Projects include national corporate sponsors, a direct mail campaign, the Combined Federal Campaign, special events such as golf tournaments; and special projects such as “in memory of/in honor of” donations and internet donations.

“Since the very first business plan, my desire has always been to give Loveland the gym they deserve, and I will continue to do that until my vision is fulfilled,” said John Kennedy
by Cassie Mattia
Loveland, Ohio – Loveland, Ohio is filled with so many opportunities to keep healthy and stay in shape! Although the Loveland Bike Trail provides plenty of fitness activities and there are of course a few pilates and yoga studios throughout Loveland, there still just didn’t seem to be a place that provided nutrition, personal training, and an open gym all combined into one well-rounded fitness facility right here in Loveland….until now! John Kennedy, owner of 650 Fitness, and Jen Kavensky, owner of Vibe Nutrition, took a leap of faith and are now preparing to open the well-rounded gym the Loveland community has been waiting for. Vibe Fitness, located at 10480 Loveland Madeira Road, is set to open it’s doors to the community at its grand opening on Friday, October 11th from 4 PM to 7 PM followed by an after-party at Bishop’s Quarter! The grand opening will be benefiting breast cancer awareness and Cancer Free Kids, a non-profit dedicated to children’s cancer research right here in Loveland.
Loveland Magazine decided to pay Vibe Fitness a visit to see what the community should expect for the grand opening Friday! Below is a press release provided by Kennedy and Kavensky with more in-depth details on how Vibe Fitness came about and why the grand opening is so huge for the community of Loveland. You can also click below to check out Loveland Magazine TV’s full interview with Kennedy and Kavensky at Vibe Fitness!
Local Fitness and Nutrition Enthusiasts Collaborate to Open Vibe Fitness
Vibe Fitness will mark the opening of its first-class, 24-hour, fitness and nutrition center in an event on Friday in Loveland, Ohio. The grand opening celebration will be a fun-filled event with raffles, giveaways, food, and drinks. The newly expanded fitness center, located on 10480 Loveland Madeira Road, is a state-of-the-art, 6,000 square-foot facility that offers high-quality equipment, group classes, personal training, nutrition counseling, and meal planning.
John Kennedy the owner of Vibe Fitness is a true visionary. At 24 years old, John’s idea had been to build the best personal training studio for clients only and then expand into the market of general memberships. The idea became a reality, as John has successfully built a two-sided gym that gives personal training clients the privacy of one-on-one training and the general members the ability to workout freely.
“Since the very first business plan, my desire has always been to give Loveland the gym they deserve, and I will continue to do that until my vision is fulfilled,” said John Kennedy, owner of Vibe Fitness. “I enjoy seeing the look on people’s faces when they first see the new facility. Since the completion of this first phase, my attention and focus are already shifting towards the next expansion.”
Vibe Fitness was born when John was contemplating the idea of rebranding 650 Fitness when Vibe Nutrition moved in two doors down in January of 2019. Jennifer Kavensky, the owner of Vibe Nutrition, began training with John when she opened Vibe Nutrition’s doors. “We are so excited to be working with John Kennedy and Vibe Fitness. They have top-notch professionals who understand what it means to create a healthy community. The partnership is a natural fit because we share a common mission to create a positive place where community members can come together for a healthy lifestyle,” Kavensky said.
Vibe Nutrition of Loveland is a nutrition bar that offers a variety of shakes and teas that you can take on the go. They also offer wellness coaching, nutritional counseling, weight loss and fitness challenges, Cardio Drumming, and Fit Camps that empowers people to live a healthy and active lifestyle.
Since Kavensky started gym training at 650 Fitness Kennedy says they have formed a great business partnership.
“I never considered working with another company because history repeats itself and history has not been in my favor with partners. Jennifer understood my vision right away and before I knew it, she was taking off and pushing for it before I was, and I think that’s why the business relationship evolved so quickly. There is no contractual or monetary agreement between the two businesses and for the both of us, and everyone that works here, we genuinely all share the same vision of what we want for the community. Every day is still very surreal for me when I walk into work and see all the cylinders firing because believe me, it’s not because of what I have done, but what all the people around me have done because they pour their passion into their work,” Kennedy said.
There are about 3,000 square feet in the expansion with forty-five brand new pieces of equipment. Everything in the expansion is brand new. One section is for beginners with “pin-loaded” equipment so beginners can easily load their own weights. “Just by pulling a pin you can go from 25, 30, or 45 pounds,” Kennedy said, “The other side is “plated-loaded” equipment and a little more advanced for people who have been working out with weights for a little while.” To load the weight for your workout you actually pick up weights and load it onto the machines. “These advanced machines isolate the target muscles a lot more than you would see at commercial size gyms. This is the kind of stuff you see in high school, university, or professional gyms,” Kennedy added.

Loveland, Ohio – People all over the world begin every New Year with a resolution. Some vow to learn a new skill or hobby, some to spend more time with friends and family, but what do 71 percent of Americans hope to do in the New Year; diet or eat healthier. Well what’s a better way to achieve that New Year’s resolution goal than to enjoy an energizing Fuzzy Naval cocktail tea or a Dulce De Leche smoothie filled with health benefits? The Loveland community added to its repertoire of new businesses with the grand opening of Vibe Nutrition on Wednesday January 23rd, a business that is sure to help you reach your New Year’s goals.
Vibe Nutrition, located on Loveland Madeira Road, offers much more than just nutritional shakes, smoothies, teas and protein bars. Owner Jennifer Kavensky says her vision in opening Vibe Nutrition was to not only provide a place for people to become healthier and happier, but to also show that within her shop there is “a community of people wanting to love on other people.”
“Our mission and what we are trying to accomplish is to reach the community and create a place where they can come and hang out and meet other people that are trying to get healthy too,” Kavensky said, “There’s not enough places out there with positivity so we want to be a place where people feel welcome and are getting results.”
The grand opening of Vibe Nutrition was just what Kavensky envisioned. It was full of Loveland residents and other business owners and employees just wanting to come together as one big healthy community.
“Getting this business up and running along with our grand opening was definitely a team effort. The community really stepped up. We had so many people give gift cards and help us give back to the people that are coming in. Businesses in Loveland are so good about promoting each other,” Kavensky said.
Cassie Mattia interviewing Vibe owner Jennifer Kavensky
Those who attended the opening were able to see the unique décor along with trying some of Vibe’s shakes, teas and protein bakery items. Of course a grand opening isn’t necessarily grand without games, prizes and raffles, which Vibe had plenty of!
“Anyone that came in and upgraded to our energy cocktails or added on a donut shot could spin the wheel and get one of our prizes,” Kavensky explained, “650 fitness gave everyone who came in a free workout, Paxton’s gave us 10 dollar gift cards and Exquisite Design Salon and Spa were giving away free shampoo and haircuts!”
Some of the other sponsors for the grand opening included Kirby’s, Championship Martial Arts, Jack Rabbit, Subway, Texas Roadhouse, Jessica’s Light and Ron’s Market.
So just what are these products that everyone is “Vibing” out to? I was given a nutritional cocktail called the “Fuzzy Navel,” which included an Orange Liftoff, Peach Tea and Mandarin Aloe, and I will admit I was pleasantly surprised on how great it tasted! The cocktail menu also included a “Cosmopolitan,” which included a Lime Liftoff, Lemon Tea and Cranberry Aloe and a “Hot Tamale,” which had a Pomegranate Liftoff, Cinnamon Tea and Cranberry Aloe.
Vibe also has a nutritional smoothie menu with out of this world flavors like French Vanilla, Orange Creamsicle and Chocolate Chip as well as a “protein bar” Bakery Menu with flavors such as Roasted Peanut Cookie, Apple Pie and Cinnamon Toast Crunch.
“One of our most popular shakes is the Reece’s Peanut Butter Cup. This shake has 30 grams of protein and it’s loaded with nutrition. It has about 200 calories,” Kavensky said, “Our most famous cocktail is either a Starburst or Scarlet-ini. Most of our cocktails have our ‘Lift off’ in it, which helps with mental focus and short term memory.”
And yes Vibe has something called a Donut Shot and surprisingly enough it is a fat burner!
“People love our Donut shots! My favorite one is either the pumpkin pie or salted caramel,” Kavensky said.
As Kavensky and her team were making my Fuzzy Naval there was something that caught my attention about the cups they were delivering to each customer.
“One of the things we do that I think is really cool is we write a special message on our customer’s cups when they come in,” Kavensky explained, “Whether it’s a message of encouragement or a just a message to brighten that particular person’s day, we really want to make coming to Vibe a personal experience for each and every person.”
Although Kavensky doesn’t have a nutritional background she can attest to Vibe’s products because she herself lost 100 pounds using them.
“The products we have help you lose weight; they help you have more energy. We also work with athletes who need something that will help them with recovery after they work out or just need a healthy breakfast. We were actually voted number one healthy breakfast! We want to help people reach their goals,” Kavensky said.
Kavensky is full of passion when it comes to helping people and making people feel a part of a community that is both accepting and welcoming, but just where did all this passion for living a healthy lifestyle come from?
“My mom passed away at 52, she had pancreatic cancer. I saw myself really becoming like her in the best ways and the worst ways,” Kavensky said, “Sometimes we just develop habits when we grow up. I really just started looking for a way after I lost her, to be healthier. I started to do research and started to see what options were out there and then I found Vibe. It really empowered me to help other people. I didn’t have a coach or have anyone there to help me and when I started Vibe this not only helped me to really have place to come to, but it also had people that I had to be accountable for. Losing my mom was really hard, but it empowered me to change. The hardest things in life are really the things that make you become better.”
Vibe Nutrition also offers those looking for a healthy lifestyle another piece to the healthy living puzzle; a good workout. Kavensky discovered “Cardio Drumming” after a trip to Michigan and decided to get trained on how to teach it.
“We take a 17 gallon plastic bucket, an exercise ball and drum sticks and we jam to music,” Kavensky said, “It’s really a great way to get out aggression and get a good workout!”
Vibe Nutrition offers Cardio Drumming classes Monday’s at 7:30 PM at 650 Fitness and Friday’s at 9 AM at the Championship Marshall Arts Academy. Vibe also offers a Fit Camp on Monday’s at 9 AM at 650 Fitness.
“The Fit Camp is light weights, resistance bands and exercise balls. It’s really just to get people active. I feel like it’s important once you get the nutrition down to start adding in the working out aspect. It really takes people where they are to where they want to be,” Kavensky said.
Kavensky and her Vibe Nutrition team couldn’t be more thrilled with the success of Vibe and the community involvement, but are even more excited for the future and the up and coming events.
“On February 9th from 8 AM to 1 PM we will be doing a fundraiser for Kinley, a little girl who has DIPG. We will be giving 50 percent of all smoothie sales to Kinley’s family. We want to do things like this to give back to the community. We want to support those who need it,” Kavensky said.
