    2 arrests after double shooting on Wards Corner Road

    Miami Township, Ohio – Police have arrested a 23-year-old male, and have charged him with reckless assault for shooting himself and a female. A 24-year-old male has also been arrested and he was charged with tampering with evidence. The incident was first reported by the Miami Township Police at 11: 30 AM.

    Task Force One divers were on the scene searching for the gun in a small body of water on the property at 818 Wards Corner Road.

    Wards Corner Road at Arnold Palmer Drive to close October 20 thru 22

    Miami Township, Ohio – The replacement of a culvert will require the closure of Wards Corner Road in Miami Township. The closure is located just north of Arnold Palmer Drive on Wards Corner Road.

    The road will be closed to through traffic from 7 AM to 5 PM on Wednesday, October 20 through Friday, October 22.

    Arnold Palmer Drive will be accessible from the Branch Hill-Guinea Road side during this clousre.

    This closure will not go into effect until the previous closure on Wards Corner Road has been completed.

    Ramp onto I-275 West to close for slide repair on Tuesday

    Loveland/Symmes Township, Ohio – The Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) will close the ramp onto I-275 West from from southbound Loveland Madeira Road on Tuesday, May 25.

    ODOT reports, “During periods of closure, southbound Loveland Madeira Road motorists (passenger vehicles) to I-275 West will be routed by way of the traffic signal; heavy (large) truck traffic will be detoured by way of I-275 East and the Wards Corner Road interchange to I-275 West. Traffic on the mainline of I-275 will be maintained. The project is scheduled to be completed in the fall.”

    ODOT has provided no other specific information about how long the ramp will be closed.

    Shooting at Miami Township home leaves man dead

    A PRESS RELEASE FROM THE MIAMI TOWNSHIP POLICE DEPARTMENT

    On June 11, 2019, 3:15 a.m. A shooting occurred at 822 Wards Corner Road in Miami Township. Officers responded to the call and found Khristopher Jordan Ketring, 25, dead from a gunshot wound. After clearing the house and the immediate area, officers secured the residence.

    Detectives have been investigating, viewing videos, conducting interviews and looking for witnesses/suspects. It is strongly believed, through the investigation, that the shooter and his accomplice were known to Mr. Ketring. We hope to release additional details in the coming days, but due to the ongoing investigation, they cannot be shared at this time. If a press conference occurs, media outlets will be notified 2 hours prior.
