    Loveland, Ohio – On Wednesday, November 13th, several Tigers were recognized for both their minds and their athletic abilities at the 2019 Annual Fall Sports Awards at Loveland High School! LHS Athletic Director, Brian Conatser invited friends, families, and Fall Tiger student-athletes to celebrate their 2019 sports seasons.

    Conatser began the heartfelt evening with a tradition of this ceremony at LHS…the senior athletes are announced and led into the gym by their head coach. Conatser invited LHS’s Site Manager and Facilities Coordinator, Jake Elfers to announce the 2019 Fall senior athletes and their coaches.

    Next Conatser took the opportunity to thank everyone who made the athletes and coaches seasons so special! “Thank you, Seniors, for your leadership and laying the groundwork within our programs,” Conatser said, “This evening I would like to introduce the administration and members from the athletic department that have joined me in this celebration. Principal, Peggy Johnson, Assistant Director of Student Athletics, Eric Fry, Site Manager & Facilities Coordinator, Jake Elfers. And Finally…our Administrative Assistant in the Athletic Department, Kristy Brulport. A special thanks to all the individuals who support and assist the athletic department and our student-athletes on a daily basis. Parents, Student-Athletes please give your parents a round of applause for their support, feeding you, driving you to and from practices, and always being a part of your games and competition,” Conatser added, “LAB Team Liaisons please stand and be recognized. We appreciate your time commitment and efforts…as you are the link between our Boosters and our Athletic Programs. Thank you for all you do. Coaches, thank you for the tremendous amount of time you spend with our student-athletes. We appreciate you mentoring our young men and women and teaching them the life skills necessary to be successful both now and in their future. Thank you! We are “Extremely Proud” of our teams and programs this Fall season.  You have all been Very enjoyable to Watch and Cheer on,” Conatser said.

    The Tigers’ 2019 Fall Sports Season marked one of the most successful Fall sports seasons in school history with 5 ECC Champions, 4 ECC Coaches of the Year and 2 ECC Athletes of the Year. With all of these accolades, this puts the Loveland Tigers in the number one spot in running for the All-Sports Trophy. Conatser was sure to give praise to both the coaches and athletes for their designated seasons as he shared the “Coaches Highlights of the Fall Season” told through the coaches’ own words during the ceremony.

    Next on the Fall Sports Awards agenda was the recognition of all of the Fall sports athletes who received top ECC honors. You can read about which Tigers received ECC accolades in the Loveland Sports 411 With Cassie Mattia HERE.

    Next in the ceremony, each student-athlete who participated in a Fall varsity sport for all 4 years were honored. Conatser announced the following Tigers to receive this particular honor.

    Following the announcement of the athletes who played all 4 years varsity in their designated sport, was the presentation of the 2019 Fall “Sportsperson of the Season,” and shortly after the presentation of the “Edward Jones Community Student-Athlete Award.” Loveland Magazine plans on featuring these two very special awards and its winners in a separate article coming soon!

    At the conclusion of the 2019 Fall Sports Awards ceremony, Conatser recognized individual student-athletes that received awards “beyond” the Eastern Cincinnati Conference. Below are the student-athletes who were recognized for these very prestigious awards.

    This week’s Loveland Tiger sports up-date

    Loveland, Ohio – The Regular Season for most of Loveland Fall Sports are coming to a close and Postseason is just getting started. Some of Loveland’s Fall Sports teams look to have repeat success while others look to finally achieve a milestone after many hours of hard work during the offseason and season.

    Womens Tennis

    Senior, Peyton Beller and Junior, Anna Svitkovich both made it to Districts as Single’s Players. In the District seeding matches Peyton took 2nd and Anna took 3rd. Peyton will begin her District appearance against Beavercreek’s, Julia Bays. If Peyton wins the first round she will play either Xia Lin from Butler or Savannah Allen from Turpin to get to State. Anna will start off against Greenville’s, Natalie Milligan. If Anna advances past the first round she will either play Claire Burns from Wilmington or Caitlin Fisher from Turpin. The District Tournament will begin today and continue on Saturday at the Lindner Family Tennis Center.

    Mens Golf

    The Loveland Mens Golf team finished 5th in Sectionals losing to Anderson by 2 strokes, just missing advancing to Districts as a team. The Mens Golf team does have a member of their team advancing to Districts and that would be Junior, Jeffrey Main. Jeffrey earned Co-Medalist honors at Sectionals shooting a 71 at The Vineyard Golf Course. The District Golf Tournament will be held today at the Beavercreek Golf Club. Jeffrey will be teeing off at 10:50 AM with Alex Gomia of Monroe, Tyler Goecke of Carroll, and Riley Wilcoxon of Bellefontaine.

    Womens Soccer

    The defending State Champion, Loveland Womens Soccer team won the 2018 ECC title with a 6-0-1 record. This was the teams fifth title in the last six years. Their overall record is 11-1-3. The Tigers are #1 in the Cincinnati area coaches pool.

    They will play either Colerain (#20) or Western Brown (#23) on October 20th in their opening round matchup of the State tournament. If they win that game they will play either Sycamore (#9), Middletown (#27), or Withrow (#31). Their next game is a non-conference match Saturday vs Lebanon on Senior Night at 7:00 PM.

    Volleyball

    Currently undefeated in conference play (13-0), Loveland captured its second consecutive ECC championship. The Tigers have won their first 13 ECC matches and sit at 19-1 overall. Their Senior Night is Thursday, October 11 against conference foe West Clermont at 7 PM.

    Their Sectional match-up is vs. Western Hills October 16 at 6:30 PM.

    Football

    The Tigers are #6 in the ECC with a 1-3, 1-6 record. They play at #7 Walnut Hills on Friday at 7 PM. Then they will have 2 games remaining, at Kings on October 19, and their Senior Night is October  26 vs. Anderson.

    Loveland, Ohio – The Loveland Womens Soccer team sits at 6-0-1 (2-0-1 conference) after tying 2-2 in a game versus Milford. Leading the way for Loveland are Seniors Brooke Harden and Lauren Williams. Harden has 4 goals and 5 assists in 7 games this season while Williams has 3 goals and 3 assists this season in 7 games. Their next game is on
    Tuesday September 18th at home versus Withrow at 7 PM. With the tie, they fell to 2nd in conference standings to #1 Turpin (3-0, 4-4). The team is now #3 in the country in the USA Today Super 25 Expert Rankings. This was before the tie with Milford.

    Loveland Forward Lauren Williams had her header blocked early in the match against Milford.

    The Loveland Mens Soccer team sits at 6-2 (2-1 conference). Leading the way for Loveland are Seniors Andrew Hartman and Aiden Kopek. Hartman has 2 goals and 5 assists in 5 games while Kopek has 4 goals in 3 games this season. Their next game is Thursday September 20th at Withrow (0-2, 2-3) at 7 PM.

    The Loveland Womens Cross Country team placed 3rd out of 18 teams at the Mason meet on September 8, beating out Ursuline, Springboro and many others. Leading the way for the Tigers are Freshman, Jessie Gibbins, who ran a 19:47.0 at the meet and Sophomore, Ellie Carr, ran a 19:52.0 at the meet. Their next meet is at Centerville on Saturday September 22nd.

    The Loveland Mens Cross Country team placed 10th out of 27 teams at the Mason meet. They placed higher than Centerville, St.Xavier (B), to name a few. Leading the way for Loveland are Senior Greg Ballman who ran a 16:46.4 at the meet. Also for Loveland Freshman, Ryan Chevalier, ran a 17:32.8 at the meet. Their next meet is Saturday September 15th at Milford at 9 AM.

    Up-date on Loveland High School vs. West Jessamine High soccer Bowl

    Loveland Tigers will square off against the two-time defending Kentucky State Champion West Jessamine Colts

    The location for the Loveland Tiger Women’s Soccer match today has changed. It will be at (behind) the West Jessamine Middle School at 1400 Old Wilmore Road, Nicholasville, KY. 40356.

    Nicholasville, KY, Mitchell Pearson, the Executive Director of the Nicholasville, Wilmore – Jessamine County Tourism Commission said, “We’re excited that Loveland High School’s womens team is participating in the VisitJessamine Bowl.”

    Tickets are $5. The JV is 6 PM and Varsity is 7:30 PM on Saturday, August 18.

    The game will take place at the East Jessamine High School’s soccer field. The field is not on the site of West Jessamine High School, but at 851 Wilmore Road, Nicholasville, KY 40356. The facility is behind the Jessamine Early Learning Village and next to the Technical school. Parking available on site. See map below.

    Loveland High School Women’s Soccer to play Kentucky State Champion

    The Eastern Cincinnati Conference (ECC) is reporting that Ohio’s Division I defending soccer champions, Loveland Tigers will square off against the two-time defending Kentucky State Champion West Jessamine Colts in a big interstate contest Saturday, August 18.

    The contest will be part of the VisitJessamine.com Bowl, an annual weekend of football and soccer games. West Jessamine High School is in Nicholasville, KY., south of Lexington, a 2-1/2 hour drive from Loveland.

    According to the ECC, “The Nicholasville Chamber of Commerce and West Jessamine High School personnel reached out to Loveland head coach Toddy Kelly with the idea of the two powerhouse programs squaring off against one another this fall.”

    The junior varsity squads will play at 6 PM and the varsity teams at 7:30 PM.

    Ticket Info for Tiger’s State Title Soccer Match

    Loveland, Ohio – The Varsity women’s Soccer Team will depart from Loveland High School on Thursday, November 9th at 6:45pm.  Supporters are encouraged to line the streets of Loveland as the team leaves for Columbus.  The bus route will turn right out of the high school on Rich Road, right on West Loveland, left onto Lebanon Road and right onto Loveland-madeira to I-275.

    All tickets (presale or at the gate) are $8 each for all spectators. No Passes are accepted. Parking at MAPFRE Stadium is $7 per car. MAPFRE Stadium and the General Parking is best reached by exiting off 17th Avenue off I-71 (Exit 111); gate #5 at MAPFRE is the general admission gate. No airhorns are permitted inside the stadium.

    Gates at MAPFRE Stadium open to the public at 10:30am on Friday, November 10th and one ticket will permit the ticket holder to watch all games for the entire day (all 3 Divisions).  However, anyone exiting the stadium will be required to purchase a ticket to re-entry.

    Tickets are being overnighted to Loveland High School for students, and are expected to arrive by 10:30am Thursday morning. Presale tickets will be sold for $8 on Thursday, Nov. 9th from 10:45am-6pm here in the Athletic Office and at during all three lunches.

    Tickets for the Spirit Buses traveling to MAPFRE Stadium in Columbus will be $10 per student.  This includes the game ticket, bus ride to and from the game and a spirit item. Spirit Buses will depart Loveland High School at 4pm on Friday, November 10th and return from Columbus at approximately 11:30pm. No Spirit Bus Packs or Presale Tickets will be sold at school on Friday, November 10th.

    Loveland will compete at the MAPFRE stadium for the state title on Friday, 11/10 7pm.
