“Mallet Madness” is an advanced percussion group of select fourth grade students at Loveland Elementary School. The group heads to school in the early morning hours to practice and audition to be part of the ensemble.
The co-directors, are teachers, Michele Henn and Kristen Planeaux. The group plays complicated pieces for xylophone, drum, accessory percussion, and recorder.
They performed at last week’s State of the Schools address by superintendent, Chad Hilliker.
