Loveland Women Soccer Takes on Turpin

On Tuesday September 6, the Loveland Women Tigers took on the Turpin Spartans. What followed could only be considered a close game—by halftime no goals had been scored. An impressive assist by Brooke Harden to Brice Grieshop scored the winning and the only goal of the night.

Junior Lauren Parker tied the record for most shut-outs in Loveland history. When asked for comment, parker said “It’s really such an honor to get the record, because my goal coming into high school soccer was to beat the shutout record. It shows that all my hard work has finally paid off, and I love this Loveland community more than anything, so it’s great to know I’m part of Loveland athletics history.” Parker has committed to play at Miami (Ohio).

Some highlights of the game were captured in photos and slow motion video:

Photo Album and Stats: Lebanon defeats Tiger football 45-34

Lebanon, Ohio – Dakota Allen’s 248 passing yards, 38 rushing yards, 2 runshing touchdowns, and a passing touchdown was too much for the Loveland Tigers on September 2. With Loveland behind 21-6 early in the 2nd quarter, they did fight back however, tying the score at 28 midway through the 3rd.

Two more Warrior touchdowns and extra points, and a 43-yard field goal by Xander Haley were only answered by one Tiger touchdown and a failed extra-point.

Tiger Luke Waddell ran for 150 yards and one touchdown. Ryan Bagnoli had 2 rushing touchdowns for the Tigers.

Loveland is now winless in their first two games. They have their home opener this Friday hosting non-conference, Oak Hills. Game time is 7 PM. Oak hills lost their season opener 56-48 to Covington Catholic and have another loss to Elder, 27-0.
