Stranger Danger
Kindergarten and first grade students at Loveland Early Childhood Center (LECC) had a ‘uniformed’ teacher as Loveland Police Officer Fred Barnes, who also works for the district as a resource officer, presented a lesson on Stranger Danger.
“We thought Officer Barnes was the perfect person to teach the students about how to stay safe,” said Kyle Bush, LECC principal. “The fact is – our students need to be aware of how to react if they are ever approached by a stranger; the lesson is a very important one.”
The Stranger Danger presentation was an idea that developed out of LECC’s School Safety Committee.
