Loveland Board of Education Enters Into Contract
for Option to Purchase Real Estate
At its March 19 business meeting, the Loveland Board of Education adopted a resolution to approve a contract for the option to purchase real estate in Clermont County. The adoption of the resolution does not indicate that land has been purchased, but is for the purpose of investigating whether approximately 110 acres of property are suitable to support a master plan that the board is anticipated to approve in April. The real estate is currently owned by the Grail, an Ohio nonprofit organization, and is part of the property known as Grailville, located on O’Bannonville Road, east of downtown Loveland.
“This is a wonderful step in the right direction for our school district,” said Superintendent Dr. Amy Crouse. “Without additional land, we have very limited opportunities to make the improvements that are needed. Now that the resolution has passed, we will conduct a feasibility study, which will determine whether this particular parcel of land can support our facility master plan options.”
A total of 113 acres of Grailville were previously placed in conservation easement and purchased by the Clermont County Park District, and will remain a natural area with hiking trails.
