Milford-Miami Township-Loveland, Ohio – The 2024 Eastside Business Bash, presented by Bassett Services and hosted by the Milford Miami Township Chamber and Little Miami River Chamber Alliance, will take place on March 7 from 4 until 7 PM, at the Little Miami Brewing Event Center, 310 Mill St in Milford, Ohio. In the third year of this event, the hype has grown, with the 48 booth slots selling out in record time. The Bash provides an easy and interesting way for attendees to learn about a wide variety of B-to-B and B-to-C businesses in the area.

Attending the Expo is free, and the first 50 people to arrive will receive a free beer, featuring Little Miami Brewing’s unique hand-crafted beers. Attendees will enjoy light bites and drinks from the cash bar as they browse the booths. Items from local businesses and attendees will be raffled off throughout the afternoon.

This crossover event supports not only the entire Milford-Miami Township-Loveland area, but the entire east side of our region. In the past two years, over 200 people attended the Bash to explore the various businesses.

“This event has become a staple for our business community,” says CeeCee Collins, President of the Little Miami River Chamber Alliance. “We couldn’t believe how quickly booths sold out, and requests have continued to come in.”

Andrea Brady, Executive Director of the Milford Miami Township Chamber, adds, “Because this event is so well-attended – it’s in a fun location, with a wide variety of businesses to explore – it’s sought-after as an effective way to reach a large swath of the area.”

The Event Center sits at the start of downtown Milford, a street lined with unique shops and restaurants. The DORA (Designated Outdoor Refreshment Area) allows alcoholic drinks to be carried on the street (in DORA cups), so visitors may browse the shops and wend their way to dinner after the event while enjoying their beverage.

    Lake Isabella will be “stocked”

Loveland, Ohio – Lake Isabella will be one of the locations where Great Parks will stock over 10,000 pounds of fish in five popular fishing spots throughout Hamilton County this year, filling the water for anglers to reel in big catches all season long. Plenty of prime fishing spots are available, as Great Parks has hundreds of acres of lakes and 25 miles of river frontage on four major rivers.

Fish will include channel catfish in warmer months, and in cooler months, trout will be added to Lake Isabella. Additional species to be added at Lake Isabella will be shovelhead (blue catfish) and hybrid bluegill.

Lake Isabella is a 28-acre pay lake that offers fishing from the bank, dock or rental boat. There is a campgrpund at Lake Isabella.

Electric trolling motors are permitted. Personal watercraft, such as canoes and kayaks, are not permitted on the lake. Lake Isabella also has a full-service boathouse and reservable Chart Room, Riverside Lodge, and Shady Elm Shelter for group outings. • What will the 2024 Solar Eclipse look like from Loveland?

What will the 2024 Solar Eclipse look like from Loveland?

Loveland, Ohio – A partial Solar Eclipse will occur in Loveland on the afternoon of Monday, April 8. It’s being called the “Great North American Eclipse” and estimates are it will be the most-watched event in modern history.

The Eclipse2024.org eclipse simulator is a free educational tool and is intended as a general guideline for displaying the possible appearance of the 2024 solar eclipse from any given location.WHEN VIEWING CERTAIN PHASES OF THE REAL ECLIPSE, THE VIEWER MUST WEAR ISO-CERTIFIED ECLIPSE SAFETY GLASSES TO PREVENT SERIOUS EYE DAMAGE!

The simulator is an online tool that allows you to see the 2024 total or partoal eclipse as it will appear from basically any location in North or Central America, the Caribbean, Greenland, Iceland or Hawaii. The area they’ve defined for use is as shown on the map in the location selection page.

The simulator is the best tool we’ve seen for showing you what the eclipse will look like in Loveland. If you’ve never seen an eclipse before, you’ll be amazed at what they look like! If it inspires you to get into the path and see totality, then we’ve done our job. However, it looks like staying home in Loveland will be pretty good viewing.

Even if you can’t make it into the path, you’ll still be able to preview what the eclipse will look like. However, certain caveats are in order (for example, how the prominences and the corona might appear), and you can read more detail about these.

You can experience the eclipse before it happens! This will let you:

    • Pre-plan your eclipse day viewing activities
    • See the differences between what it’s like to view the eclipse from inside the path, at the edge of the path or outside the path
    • Find the best spot for viewing Baily’s Beads
    • Experience the eclipse well before eclipse day, so you can share the excitement with your friends!
