Loveland, Ohio – It was lights, camera and action for some Loveland Middle School (LMS) seventh-grade students in Debbie Steward’s English/Language Arts class. The students used the LMS Media Center production lab – complete with green screen – to create vocabulary newscasts in December.
“This is a fun and creative way to have students show mastery of new vocabulary by applying these words in a newscast,” said Steward, who worked on the project with students for two weeks prior to recording the newscasts.
“What I hope they take away is a memory that vocabulary can be fun, and they learn the technology involved in using a green screen,” said Steward.
