Loveland, Ohio – The City was awarded a $15,000 reimbursement grant from the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency to install a dual port electric vehicle charging station in the Linda Cox Trailside Parking area. The total cost of the project is $16,566 and the City will pay the $1,566 difference. The charging station would belong to the City.

Donovan Energy will install the charging station and be the site host making them responsible for signage, the network, station commissioning, and a five-year extended warranty.

The grant requires that the City maintain the charging station for a minimum of five years and submit semiannual usage reports to the EPA during that period.

It is anticipated that the project would be complete within two to three months. The equipment that is to be installed can accept payments. The City does not plan to charge for the usage of the charging stations at this time but has the choice to implement charges in the future.
